Franchement je m'attendais dans ce roman à retrouver la vibe du duo Sherlock Watson. Eh bien non, pas du tout. Le personnage féminin est calqué sur Sherlock Holmes, intellectuel, drogue etc. mais sans le panache et le succédané de Watson est plutôt fade et amouraché de sa partenaire.

Pour l'histoire, on retrouve nos descendants des deux illustres personnages à notre époque, dans un contexte universitaire. Un de leurs camarades est assassiné, Watson est soupçonné.

L'histoire n'est pas désagréable et je suis tout de même allée presque au bout ou bien au bout, je ne me souviens plus mais c'est très young adult, voire un peu gnan gnan. Le méchant semble sorti d'un chapeau de magicien, bref moyen.
