Description
The hotly anticipated and explosive third book in the New York Times best-selling Charlotte Holmes series.
It's been a year since the shocking death of August Moriarty, and Jamie and Charlotte haven't spoken.
Jamie is going through the motions at Sherringford, trying to finish his senior year without incident, with a nice girlfriend he can't seem to fall for.
Charlotte is on the run, from Lucien Moriarty and from her own mistakes. No one has seen her since that fateful night on the lawn in Sussex - and Charlotte wants it that way. She knows she isn't safe to be around. She knows her Watson can't forgive her.
Holmes and Watson may not be looking to reconcile, but when strange things start happening, it's clear that someone wants the team back together. Someone who has been quietly observing them both. Making plans. Biding their time.
Someone who wants to see one of them suffer and the other one dead.

Jamie Watson is a complete moron
Nothing else to say, he's a very frustrating character. Stupid ass review requiring word amount.

Best in the series so far!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have recommended this series to multiple friends, and will definitely recommend this third entry into the series. The audiobook narrators bring the story alive, Cavallaro's writing is sharp, and the mystery is addictive.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was glad that this book didn't end on as big a cliff-hanger as the second one did, but I still hate knowing I have to wait for any more stories about Holmes and Jamie.

Better than Book 2
It’s like she heard all my complaints about Book 2 (even though I just read it last week) and answered them with this book! I love that half the chapters were in Charlotte’s voice, I enjoy her as a narrator. And having them spend the bulk of the book apart was definitely a nice break from their emotional turmoil. A very enjoyable read.

A vast improvement over book #2
Having been considerably let down by the previous Charlotte Holmes book, The Last of August, I felt that I should hop right into the third installment, The Case For Jamie, and see how I got on.
Now that I have completed the audiobook, I can safely say that this book was competent; An improvement over the second novel, but didn't nearly reach the level of excitement of the first.
Personally, I felt that it was the alternating narrators that kept this book from reaching its full potential for me; it was hard to keep track of two different, but related stories told by Jamie and then Charlotte. I had to start the novel from the beginning more than once to make sure that I knew what was actually happening, yet I still had difficulties keeping track of the two main characters.
Other than that little nitpick, I don't have terribly much to say about The Case For Jamie, it was a reasonably entertaining story with a quality narration, provided by Graham Halstead and Julia Whelan.
I am delighted to hear that there will be a book four coming soon, and once again highly recommend this YA series for other Sherlockians.

bridge book like
it took me ages to manage to go through the first couple chapters, didnt quite like narrators voice for it didnt fit the characters age and also found out the excitement/exclamation mark sentences sounded awfully overacted. The story was ok, didnt feel like a book itself more like a bridge to get to the final book in the series.
