My latest effort is "Journey To Osm - The Blue Unicorn's Tale". It is the full length novel version of “The Blue Unicorn’s Journey To Osm Illustrated Book".
"Journey To Osm - The Blue Unicorn's Tale" is an epic fantasy along the lines of novels written by Tolkien, Piers Anthony, Ursula K. Le Guin and other amazing fantasy writers.
This story is available as an Illustrated Book for teens and older readers in full color and there's a black and white version, too. Those books were edited by Kimberly Avery. The black and white version is a "Read and Color" book. Read a chapter, then color the following pages. How fun is that?
There is also a picture book for pre-schoolers called Unicorns From Unimaise - The Magical Metal-Horn Tribe. All of the fantastic fantasy illustrations are by Dasguptarts and it was edited by Marissa Elliott.
There is also a companion coloring/character description book, edited by Calyie Martin. It will introduce potential readers to the myriad of characters, places and things in the story.

Once upon a time I wanted to be a writer more than anything in the world. I could tell stories with the best of them, so I just knew I could write well, too.
Funny thing about writing, though...it's nothing like telling a story. I bet you've noticed that, too. I'd even go as far as to bet there have been times...plenty of them, when you've been writing along just fine, then suddenly, you hit a brick wall over how to describe the simplest thing.
25 years ago, there wasn't anything much available other than Webster's Dictionary or Roget's Thesaurus and a couple of synonym and antonym books. So, I decided I'd start to put together what I was looking for, myself.
Those were the prehistoric days, before p.c.'s. Each bit of information I gathered was tediously placed behind index tabs in spiral notebooks...lots of notebooks and tons of tabs. It very quickly became a monstrous task. When I got my first computer, with Word Perfect's word "search and replace" features, I felt like I'd finally arrived in the 20th century but the best was yet to come.
Word for Windows made cross-referencing all those phrases to all of their relevant categories a breeze. After that came html format, which which worked great for Microsoft user but Apple computers couldn't open them. In the early 2000's, I was able to create a fully linked version in PDF, which I called Sybrina's Phrase Thesaurus Tool. Wouldn't you know it, Ebooks couldn't format links properly until recently so I couldn't really make it available to the general public in it's linked form. Finally, Epub files came along and have allowed me to share a modified version of Sybrina's Phrase Thesaurus "Tool" with everyone. It works just like my original concept...find the category you're interested and just click to jump to it. Read all the phrases in a category to get your creative juices flowing. You may have gotten to this page because of your interest in "Learn To Tie A Tie With The Rabbit and the Fox". Believe it or not, I actually started writing that little story in 1989! My children and I were shopping for a tie for my husband to wear to a very important "white collar" job interview. He was always a "blue collar" worker thus having very little opportunity to wear a tie. Consequently, at the age of 32, he was unsure as to how to go about tying the "dang thing" properly.
Laughingly, I mentioned to the salesman that my husband was going to have to call his father to get instructions over the telephone. At that point, the very pleasant young man whisked the tie, which he had helped select, off the counter and draped it around his neck. The kids and I couldn't help giggling as the effect was rather humorous considering he was already wearing a suit and tie.
"Let me tell you a little story that is so simple even a child can remember it," he exclaimed and proceeded to tell us about a little rabbit who was being chased by a fox. The whole while he moved the tie through the sequence of events as they occurred.
The story went like this, all inclusive, "There once was a little rabbit being chased by a fox. The fox chased him around a tree once. Then, they ran around it again. Then, the rabbit ran under a bush. Next, he jumped over a log. Then, he jumped into a hole and was safe."
By the time the rabbit was safely away from the fox, the tie was completely tied with a beautiful knot. My children and I were delighted and couldn't wait to get home to show their dad what we had learned.
Sure enough, we remembered the steps of the rabbit's flight from the fox and related them to him. Within moments, he had tied a knot in his new tie that looked like it had been accomplished by an expert.
To make a long story short, he went on the interview looking like a true professional and got the job!
I've always wanted to share this story with the world and originally created the attached animated instructional song video, which is also available on Youtube. But what I really wanted to create was a family activity picture book where all participants could practice the steps of tying the tie with the rabbit and the fox as they read the book together.
And so, with the help of a fantastic illustrator named Donna Marie Naval, this little picture book was finally born and is now available in Kindle format and in print, right here on Amazon in English, Spanish and Tagalog!

Maybe you're here because of Yarashell Abbily and Her Very Messy Room. Who doesn’t know a messy little three year old? Getting them to clean their rooms can be quite an ordeal at times. Yarashell Abbily is one of those little girls, whose room looks like quite a mess to her Mommy and Daddy. But to Yarashell it doesn’t look messy...in her imagination it is a wonderland. But rooms do have to be cleaned. Luckily Daddy, knows just how to get Yarashell in the mood for cleaning. Read this book with your child today. With it’s sing-song verse, it is a fun family read.
Here’s a little back story for the book—I have seven grand children. Four of them are sweet little girls. This story was inspired when I asked one of them, who was three years old at the time, "What is your very favorite thing in the world to do?" She looked up smiling and said with great enthusiasm, "I like to mess up my room!".
That immediately inspired a song (which is available with that name on Amazon) and is on the book trailer video on Youtube.
A couple of years later, this book, "Yarashell Abbily and Her Very Messy Room" illustrated with adorable, nearly anime-like pictures by Sara Wilson came along.
Note:Yarashell Abbily is a composite name for those 4 little girls - Yara, Michelle, Abbey and Emily. Enjoy!

“1, 2, 3 Count With Me: Fun With Numbers and Animals” came about because I wanted a book to compliment the song I had already written to include on my youtube channel of counting books. I was lucky enough to find the most incredible illustrator. I absolutely love the delightful cuddly animals and adorable children drawn by Parbbonni and I know you will, too. I plan to do another book with her for learning the alphabet soon.

“Help Yourself” came into being because I found myself doing a lot of work on behalf of other authors helping them get their books out before the public. In fact, a search on my name will bring up many other books that I published and edited. Those books are not listed on my author page but they are written by Sandi Johnson, Britt Brundige, Gina Rose, Robert Wiltshire, and Leona Rice. In the book, “Help Yourself”, I included all of the knowledge I have gather in the past few years of self-publishing to share with anyone else who might be interested in self-publishing their own books. A special thanks to Christie Eilers for helping me edit this book.
