Mike Staver

Mike Staver is a member of the Speaker Hall of Fame, founder of The Staver Group, and an executive coach who has worked with senior leaders across his career. His clients include HomeServices of America, Mayo Clinic, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Allstate, and FedEx. His programs have been ranked number one by Training Magazine on its list of top learning and development programs in the world. He has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Washington Post, and Bloomberg Business.

Mike holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Counseling Psychology, a combination that shapes how he works. He brings cognitive behavioral foundations into plain language without ever sounding like a therapist, and he brings hard-edged clarity into personal development without ever sounding like a hack. His book, Leadership Isn't for
Cowards (2012), gives senior leaders a framework for making the difficult calls their roles require.

His latest book, Navigating Crazy: How to Live and Work Sanely in an Insane World (2026) turns that same directness toward
everyone else — the teacher, the parent, the CEO, the person in the middle of a hard week. It argues that most of
what people call stress, overwhelm, or dissatisfaction is the friction between misaligned expectations and the
refusal to accept circumstances as they are, and it offers a clear, practical discipline for narrowing that gap.

---

Other published works include the book 'Do You Know How To Shut Up? And 51 other life lessons that will make you uncomfortable' as well as a chapter in 'Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul'. Mike's work is focused on helping other narrow the gap between their intentions and results.

Mike is available both nationwide and internationally for speaking engagements and corporate advisement.
