When Jyoti dropped out of school at the age of 15 to become a full-time writer, teachers couldn’t imagine they’d be inviting him back two years later to speak as a bestselling author. Born as a twin on 22.11.88 to an Indian father and British mother in Surrey, England, Suresh and Jyoti moved to Switzerland at the age of 7. At the age of eleven, the twin brothers decided to stop writing stories they never finished, and finally complete a whole book. The result was the Insanity Saga, a 2,000-page fantasy trilogy with sales exceeding 100,000 copies and a few translations. Schweizer Illustrierte magazine counted Jyoti among the “100 Most Important Swiss” and the County of Los Angeles awarded him a Scroll of Honour for Special Services to the County for philanthropy, literary achievement, and inspiring other young people. Jyoti has been a Writer in Residence at various places, such as Palomar5, a Telekom-sponsored innovation incubator in Berlin, Germany; at St Stephen's College of Delhi University, India; of the City of Stein am Rhein, Switzerland; and as the first Novelist-in-Residence at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, a UN partner organisation.
