JJ Flowers

JJ Flowers is the bestselling author of numerous historical romances, an award winning playwright and screenwriter as well as the author of the award-winning novel Juan Pablo and the Butterflies. (Simon and Schuster) A lifelong yogi, she is a popular pranayama and Metta-meditation teacher.

In the timeline of her life there came the tumultuous year she lost first her husband Dr. John Flowers and then eleven months later her son Jonpaul died. These were the two brightest lights in her life. This blew open the doors to the spiritual realm. One poignant and often hilarious mystical experience followed after another.

At first these experiences illuminated the universal spiritual aspect of grief and she wrote Grief Is Love.

Then many of these adventures began involving her great love for the four-legged and winged creatures of the world, including our beloved canine companions. It is JJ’s hope, deep and heartfelt, that The Spiritual Dog (Findhorn Books, May, 2026) serves to amplify the great love between readers and their canine buddies and illuminate the divine light in living beings. She lives with her family, friends, and dog Pip in Dana Point, California.
