Herléo Muntu

Everything is political…’ - Thomas Mann

Herléo Muntu was born in Lubumbashi, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but grew up in the Canada. He attended La Cité college in Ottawa and Laurentian University in Sudbury and following his studies, he became a professional music artiste.

Since then, Herléo has been nominated for many awards and as a professional singer, song writer and music producer, he has performed throughout Europe, Africa and Canada.
While having written and published hundreds of songs, most of which he has sung himself, Herléo has now turned his talents to writing and has completed his first book. Political Gangsterism (Le gangstérisme politique: French version) is a short story about how a gangster will go to almost any lengths to hold onto the power he has.

In his spare time, apart from singing, Herléo is a huge movie fan and loves going to the cinema. He also plays soccer and basketball, having been selected for his high school and college teams.

The future is looking promising for Herléo as he is working on his new album and has plans to write another book in due course.
