Divya Prakash Dubey

Some writers tell stories. Divya Prakash Dubey tells the kind of stories that readers often feel they have lived.

Over the years, his writing has come to define what many readers call Nayi Wali Hindi—a style that embraces the language people actually speak, the relationships they actually live, and the emotional questions that rarely make it into traditional literature. He is the author of eight bestselling books, including Musafir Cafe, which has been adapted into a Netflix series. His stories have also found audiences through seven Amazon Audible Originals, live storytelling shows, films and web series.
As a dialogue writer, Divya has worked on Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: Part I, Ponniyin Selvan: Part II and Kuberaa, as well as Dr. Arora, created by Imtiaz Ali for SonyLIV.
His live storytelling shows, Tension Mat Le Yaar and Aadarsh Balak, bring thousands of readers and listeners together, turning stories into shared conversations.
Before writing full-time, Divya spent over a decade in corporate marketing and content. Today, through his writers' room, he develops novels, films, web series and audio originals while collaborating with emerging storytellers.
Whether on a page, through a pair of headphones or on a screen, his stories continue to ask the same question: How do ordinary people learn to live, love and grow without becoming someone else?
