Chad Herst

Chad Herst is a mind/body and executive coach and the author of The Performance Trap: The Ache No Success Will Ever Fix. He has been coaching since 2008.

For years, he approached healing much as he approached achievement: work hard enough, and eventually he would have himself sorted out. His book tells the story of what that pursuit cost him and brings together practices from his work with clients.

Today, his work makes room for what is here, including the part of us that still wants to get everything right. He helps people notice the patterns that take over under pressure, listen for what matters to them, and try different ways of responding in daily life.

Chad studied religion at Columbia University, trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and spent seventeen years practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine. He lives in Northern California with his wife, Melissa, and their dog, Disco.
