Adam The Brit was asked to leave school with no qualifications and was nearly homeless in Paris. Five countries later, he owns 1.3 million square feet of American commercial real estate - bought without a penny of institutional money.

In between: a market stall in England, managing rock and roll bands, street markets in Sydney and Amsterdam, buying trips across Asia, and a semiconductor trading business built into the Y2K shortage with offices on three continents.
