Lieutenant Commander Anthony “Tony” Romella, US Navy is a specialist in the field of communications intelligence. Little did Tony know that the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor would have such a direct impact on his career and life. He is urgently ordered from his comfortable duty in Washington, DC to an assignment at Bletchley Park, the British communications intelligence center.

London, April 1942. US Navy Commander Anthony Romella is handpicked to serve under the US Embassy’s Naval Attaché in London. Working with the top secret British Special Operations Executive at Bletchley Park, Tony is clandestinely deployed to a French resistance cell near the German U-boat base at Lorient.

A daring mission in the depths of the Norwegian forest awaits Commander Tony Romella in the fall of 1942. Tasked by the British Special Operations Executive to gather intelligence relative to Hitler's race for a secret weapon, Tony leads a team of radio intelligence operators on a harrowing Top Secret mission. But the return trip to London proves just as dangerous as the mission itself. Tony quickly finds that being back in London does not guarantee safety, and soon he is entangled in the search for dangerous spies operating in the heart of the Allies' intelligence community.

Commander Tony Romella takes a small team on what is expected to be a routine one month trip to Casablanca, Morocco. Their mission is simply to provide a temporary Top Secret special intelligence communications center to support U.S. members of a high level Allied war planning meeting. An easy mission quickly goes awry. Only two months after the Allied assault and occupation of Casablanca (Operation TORCH), the city remains a hotbed of Vichy and German sympathizers and spies. One unexpected event leads to another. Things get dicey, with life threatening situations, shots fired and dead bodies.

July 1943: Navy Captain Tony Romella is deployed to Sweden with several Morse and voice radio intercept operators. The mission is to collect signals from the Peenemunde Army Research Center on the northeast tip of Germany. There is a sharp focus on a version of Hitler's harrowing V1 vengeance weapon being developed and tested as an aircraft-launched anti-ship flying bomb. Hitler wants the V1 operational in time to thwart an Allied landing through a massive rocket bombing of ports in southeast England and London

D-Day is a month away. Berlin still expects the Allied landing to be in the Pas de Calais region, but the Normandy invasion planners have a surprise for them. Tactical intelligence on German naval reactions is needed during the early hours of Operation Neptune, the naval portion of the Allied invasion, Operation Overlord. Navy Captain Tony Romella and a small contingent of radio intercept operators are covertly inserted into the Normandy region before D-Day to provide this critical intelligence.
