A woman with no name and her AI sidekick investigate corruption on a universal scale. In the wake of machine enslavement, humanity is on the edge of several new frontiers, but Earth has become a reservation for the way life had once been. The planet’s technological embargo has been corrupted, and with an AI sidekick housed inside her robotic armor, the world’s first Athena-class Marshal is sent to investigate.

Herds of talking animals, a growing army of poachers, and the Tribal Nations are caught in the middle. A smuggler kingpin bent on revenge, migrant labor gangs working themselves to death, and the planet's steward pulling all the strings. With a suspicious new creature stalking the southlands, will the Marshal uncover the conspiracy before it swallows them all?
