Fire Inside

I'll never forget the first time someone called me "trash". I was 13, and it was my own father. I guess I should've expected it, since mom said I was a mistake for as long as I remember. I've been underestimated by everyone, from my ex-husband to my college instructor, who never thought I'd pass his EMT courses. 

I got into the academy and passed with flying colors, and I just got my uniform as one of Boston's finest. I'm only a provisional firefighter, but when I make it through the trial period, I'll have my dream. The only thing standing in my way is the scorching attraction I feel towards my lieutenant - who is hands off because of the job. Life isn't fair. Will the first good relationship I've ever experienced mean the end to my dream?

Anger has a fire. And fire moves things. With the pictures only being the beginning, it's a race against time. And as Wes continues to settle into his newly-minted position as Lieutenant, his brother's jealous streak grows. It's a game of cat and mouse, with Wes and Ash sneaking every moment they can with one another.

With Ashton's ex romping through the streets of Boston, things heat up for the probationary firefighter. Between balancing her daughter, trying to figure things out with Lieutenant Sanders and trying to fly under the radar with Captain Greene, everything starts taking its toll. Which leaves her vulnerable for more attacks.
