A gripping prequel to the Excalibur Rising Series.

It's 13th century England and the only hope for the people is that a long lost legendary sword appears and saves them from a tyrant king.

King John of England fights for his throne while Athelstane, a Saxon stable boy, fights for his freedom.

Sapling, a mysterious young lady, tells Athelstane that Excalibur, the legendary sword, will buy his passage to her magical, all-female, world of Avilion. The one condition is that Athelstane has to steal England's most heavily guarded treasure from England's most evil king. This is where the Excalibur Rising saga begins.
