Demonic Sect Elder

Before meeting his pathetic and all-too-predictable demise in the middle of a pie-eating contest, Zack was living the high life: schlubbing around his parents' basement, subsisting on pizza, video games, computer screens, and web novels. He had it all . . . while still being a big, fat nothing. But when he's forced to ditch his pudgy mortal corpse, Zack finds himself taking the place of a recently-killed demonic sect elder known as Slifer, who—even as an elderly man—is one serious badass.

Following his death by pie-eating contest, pudgy, pathetic putz Zack found himself in the body of the recently killed demonic sect elder known as Slifer, supreme elder of the Black Rose Sect. Slifer was revered by many and feared by all, and under Zack's management he was going to kick some serious ass—even if the System really had it in for him. After a botched mass-assassination attempt by the rival Black Death Sect, Slifer's decided to pay a friendly visit to the other evil sects for the sake of peace.

Before he was Slifer, supreme elder of the Black Rose Sect, he was Zack, devourer of junk food. Then the pudgepot relocated into the body of a top-tier cultivator, which he used to gain power while trying to reform the various evil demonic sects of his new home into something a bit less, well, demonic. It hasn't been easy. Especially since the Great War between the demonic and righteous sects broke out for realsies. These days, Slifer has his hands full keeping his secret identity secret, collecting System cards, and holding the "good guys"—especially the fearsome, enigmatic Lady Chi—at bay.
