Like most Imps, I am a mischievous sort, and that tends to annoy people, said people like the prison guards. Which meant that my time in Hell had just gotten a lot more complicated. I was about to receive the type of punishment no living soul had ever come back from. Not a single one had ever survived.

I tried to hide from the truth and that didn’t work. I tried to run from him and that definitely didn’t work. What was next for me but to try and work off my punishment? One that ended with me sacrificing my own heart the second his Lost Siren finally walked into his life; the one I found for him. I took this as my cue to leave. My cue to run and never look back. That had been the plan and he made a promise to let me go. A promise he quickly broke.

Writing down your dreams…that sounded pretty harmless right? Turned out, I was sort of good at it. Turned out, it made a good book. Because who knew you could make money from writing about the man of your dreams? Who knew it would pay to fantasize about a fictional character you had fallen in love with. But most of all, who knew that one day, a set of doors would open, and you would find out that he wasn't fictional at all...that he was real.

Well, it seemed as my days as a data analyst were long behind me, it seemed feeding random people’s cats and baking cookies for work colleagues was too. What wasn’t behind me, however, was getting snatched by the mob or finding myself tied to yet another chair. But this time the mob had made a big mistake, because this time they weren't the scariest ones out there. No, but I knew who was. The one who had claimed me. The one who wanted me back. The one who was now out for blood. A Siren’s Enforcer.

It all started with a plane ride. Just a simple plane ride home…that’s what they said. One that wasn’t supposed to end with me flying the damn thing! But then going home wasn’t supposed to be a bad thing either…well, that was if going home didn’t also meaning trying to hide my new, secret boyfriend. Someone who just so happened to be my father’s old enemy. Well, Lucius had other ideas, ones that included sneaking into my room, reading my diary, feeling me up and getting my panties in a twist about pretty much everything…literally.

A face I knew well...my own. So now there’s an imposter pretending to me at The Devil's Ring, and the question now is: how long will a HellBeast King be fooled? But then with two of us trying to get close, I can’t help but wonder which of us will be hunted, and which of us will be claimed.

The day I snuck into the infamous Devil’s Ring Fight Club. I had followed my cousin Amelia, who turned out not to be quite as innocent as I first believed. In fact, it turned out she didn’t live in the same world as I did…Not at all. I knew this the moment I entered his kingdom. My world changed the moment he found me. He gave me a warning that night. He told me if he ever found me again then next time, he wouldn’t be so quick in letting me escape him. His little Red Riding Hood. It was a threat I took seriously as it was only my dreams that took me back to that place.

Amelia: Lego sets, Star Trek and junk food in my pajamas, these used to be how I would spend my safe and lazy days off. Now, what am I doing with my time? High-speed chases, running from Hellhounds, fighting witches, opening boxes that threaten the entire Vampire race, and stabbing bitches with my shoes. But hey, at least I get to wear a pretty dress on my date. Now all I can hope for is that it isn’t one where people end up shooting at us again. That would be nice. And all this was because I fell in love with a Vampire King. A Vampire King, who claimed me.

So, there were many things I could have done differently. I could have gone on a cruise and forgotten about stealing a killer box from a Vampire King. I could have shaved my head and become a Tibetan monk. I could have also lost my virginity to some nice Texas cowboy who wanted to introduce me to his mother. But instead, I went to Germany and ended up fighting Mercenaries. I also fell in love with a Vampire King who claimed me as his. And now I’m in the river and all because I decided not to just stay home and do my laundry. No, instead...I shot a pilot.
