January 1915. The Great War is now in full swing, and almost every nation in Europe has been dragged into it. Now, the Greeks and the Romanians are about to enter the conflict. The Romanian offensive into Transylvania, combined with the disastrous fall Austro-Hungarian offensive of 1914 and the encircled Przemysl fortress, are threatening to unhinge the Dual Monarchy and knock Austria-Hungary out of the war.

The year is 1942. The war rages all across the Pacific theater. Battles have been fought from the Hawaiian Islands to the city of Kunming in China, in Australia, and in New Guinea. Cities have been destroyed, raided, and many areas lie in ruins. Large naval battles have been fought, and dozens upon dozens of ships have been sunk to the bottom. Imperial Japan reigns supreme everywhere. The Allies are almost out of ships. But America has not yet given up on ultimate victory. Its factories are producing ships at a never before seen speed. Large fleets will soon roam the seas.

March-April 1915. The German High Sea Fleet sorties out of its harbors in Brest and St-Nazaire to challenge the Royal Navy's Grand Fleet once more, triggering a powerful naval battle. Meanwhile, a German battle squadron races south to reach German Southwest Africa. The Fleet's mission is to help the German Pacific Squadron, which will eventually sail out of the Atlantic via the Cape Horn. On land, both the Central Powers and the Entente are planning an offensive as Spring and early summer arrive.

The Year is 1942. Imperial Japan conquered most of the Pacific in a blitzkrieg campaign that stunned the world. The Dutch East Indies, The Philippines, New Guinea, New Britain, Hawaii, the Fijis, and countless other territories have fallen. With landings in Australia, raids on the U.S. Mainland, and campaigns in Burma, the Imperial forces have expanded the Japanese realm and still look unstoppable. The Allies are now regrouping from the catastrophic losses they have taken in the last six months.

September 1914: The world is at war, and Europe is in flames. Paris had just fallen to the German forces of Kaiser Wilhelm, and the Entente forces are reeling back in disarray. With the fall of Paris, France is in dire straits, and General Joffre, its commander-in-chief, is relieved of command. The two allies meet in London to see how the war can be prosecuted from that point.

The Second World War is raging across Europe. The Axis reign supreme from the British Isles to Gibraltar, and all the way to Baghdad, while the Allied nations of the USA, Free France, and the UK gather their strength for their counter-offensive. Germany and the Soviet Union, battling each other on the Eastern Front since the Red Army attacked the year before, are about to embark on the biggest war in human history.

Europe is occupied by the Third Reich, and the British Islands have been invaded and conquered by the Germans. Only one major power is still on the sideline. Imperial Japan, already busy in its war of conquest in China, dawns to the idea of conquering the Pacific and Southeast Asia, following German successes in Europe and the subsequent weakening of the resource-rich Franco-British and Dutch colonies.

September 1st, 1939. Germany invades Poland, igniting a major European war. A few months later, the French are also invaded, and the allied armies are utterly defeated. Then the Dunkirk disaster happens, and the United Kingdom loses most of its land army. Soon, the British Isles are also attacked, and the British are hard-pressed with a serious German invasion. The French struggle to resist the Axis forces bent on conquering all of their mainland home country and West African colonies.

The world explodes into war as Austro-Hungary declares war on Serbia following the assassination of the heir to the throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Russia follows suit and mobilizes, while Germany supports its ally and declares war on Russia. France then joins the conflict as it is Russia’s ally.
