The legend of the two dragons continues in this second volume of The Tales of Draco: The Six Pieces. A peaceful summer comes to an end as Jacob Draco and his friend Justin Clipper are sent out West, where they are to remain quiet until they can find a way to return to Elsov, their home world. The opportunity comes in the form of a dwarf, a dryad, and many other mysterious creatures. They speak of a portal that can bring Jacob and Clipper back to Elsov. Jacob and his other friends join the Elsovian visitors in their quest to find the six pieces that make up the portal.

After traveling the world, Jacob Draco and his best friend, Clipper, prepare to embark on a scientific experiment. However, there is a mishap in the laboratory, and they themselves become dangerous fire-breathing dragons, who must learn to come to terms with their new lives! They soon find that the transformation was actually the fulfillment of an ancient promise; a promise to end the reign of an evil sorcerer who is preparing to spread a dark force across the face of the land.
