Tim Bartko is 27 years old. He’s reached his breaking point. Ground down into powder in his hometown of Chicago by his brilliant yet cantankerous and abusive alpha father, a self-made auto dealership mogul who measures worth in hard work, sexual conquests, and insults, Tim pulls up stakes. He loads his grizzled Datsun with his meager belongings and drives as far as the continental United States will allow: Seattle, Washington.

In "Amy," Tim Bartko, a restless spirit, embarks on a cross-country journey from Seattle to Chicago to retrieve his belongings from a storage unit there. He also plans to confront shadows of his past. What begins as a practical road trip to haul his old life west becomes a deep exploration of self, family, and connection. During his trip, Tim's mind drifts to past relationships and the strained dynamic with his father, Jack. Jack, a "man's man" holds rigid views on masculinity which have alienated Tim.
