My name is Max Boss, and I used to be a video game streamer, but now I’m dead. One stupid deer in the road, and I wake up in the pitch-black darkness of a freaking coffin to discover my afterlife is some kind of crazy, video-game-style fantasy world. What’s even more nuts is that I’ve been given super stats for seemingly no reason. Now I have to decide how I’m going to use the powerful glitch that’s been given to me, but all my plans change when a beautiful woman begs for help to save her city and her sister from the evil clutches of a vampire king and his army of thralls.

I’d spent my childhood dreaming about becoming an antique hunter. Then I was killed horribly by a truck driver who didn’t know how to stop at a red light. Now I’m forced to choose an NPC shop owner class, like my afterlife is some kind of RPG video game and I’m the guy who the real players sell their loot to. I was looking down the barrel of grinding for forty levels before I could even step foot outside my dinky little shop, until I found the key to my freedom. Maybe it’s a hack, but I don’t care.

My name is Kael Vanalan, and long ago, I vowed that I would kill the King of Feldryn. Regicide is no easy task, however, so I’ve been biding my time in the wilderness, honing my hunting skills and cycling through thousands of potential plans. But then an opportunity falls into my lap. The king has set a massive bounty and will reward whoever can collect it with a fortune in gold. The gold is a nice perk, but what I want is an audience with the king. And all I have to do is kill a dragon and bring him its heart.
