A group of people are sent invitations to participate in a paid product survey. But once they arrive and get settled in, they come to find out that they have been tricked by the wording of the invitation and forced to stay against their will. The doors are locked and they start to try and get out to no avail. A sheet of paper with the agreement they all signed is shoved under the locked door. It now highlights the fine print that they agreed to follow through to completion. And the “product “ they are giving their opinions on are the products of political opinions.

Doctor Gary Miller is introduced to the world of self-help in the form of seven experiments. Each experiment is designed to focus Dr. Miller’s mind, so he can realize his dreams through the power of thought alone. He’s dubious at first, but frustrations at work and a loveless marriage lead him down the rabbit hole. Much to his surprise, the experiments work. In fact, they work unbelievably well. They can make him immortal, and God-like. However, Dr. Miller will learn getting what you want isn’t always a good thing. Just be careful what you ask for.

In 1954, at the start of the Cold War, the Soviet military offered four political prisoners their freedom if they participated in an experiment requiring them to remain awake for 14 days while under the influence of a powerful stimulant gas. The prisoners ultimately reverted to murder, self-mutilation, and madness. None survived. In 2018, Dr. Roy Wallis, an esteemed psychology professor at UC Berkeley, is attempting to recreate the same experiment. What begins innocently enough, however, morphs into a nightmare.
