These are a collection of sermons by my father, Lonnie Temples.The recordings were made in the 1970s, so the audio quality isn’t the greatest. They were originally captured on cassette tapes, which means some messages end abruptly after 30 or 45 minutes, or you may occasionally hear a short gap when the tape had to be flipped over.Despite the technical limitations, the power and substance of the messages remain strong and timeless. I hope these sermons bless and encourage you as much as they have me.

The Garden in Eden was filled with fruit-producing trees, sprouting plants and grasses, and gently flowing rivers. Adam, G-d's chosen king/priest, was called to cultivate the garden's fertile soil, to guard the sacred space from external enemies, and to rule over the Earth. After breaking covenant with YHWH, his king, Adam was banished to the field, a place of thorns and thistles, where he became a slave to the earth. There was not any one entity more central to the Yahwistic Judean religion during the monarchy than the temple of Solomon. It symbolized the presence of YHWH in the nation, as well as his enduring protection of the nation and the Davidic royal throne.
