THE GIANTS ARE GONE. CHRIST REIGNS. For more than a century, the ideas of Freud, Darwin, Marx, and Nietzsche have reshaped the modern world.Their philosophies challenged faith, redefined truth, and influenced generations of students, leaders, and institutions. Freud called religion an illusion...

First published in 1886 at Nietzsche’s own expense, Beyond Good and Evil initially went unnoticed, yet it ultimately stands as a pivotal work in the canon of philosophy. In this incisive critique, Nietzsche boldly challenges the moral shortcomings of 19th-century thinkers, exposing their uncritical acceptance of Christian ideals in their exploration of morality and values. This book serves as a profound overview of Nietzsche’s mature philosophy, inviting readers to reevaluate the very foundations of their beliefs.

The essays contained in this volume treat of various subjects. With the exception of perhaps one we must consider all these papers as fragments. Written during the early Seventies, and intended mostly as prefaces, they are extremely interesting, since traces of Nietzsche's later tenets - like Slave and Master morality, the Superman - can be found everywhere. But they are also very valuable on account of the young philosopher's daring and able handling of difficult and abstruse subjects.

The Antichrist by Friedrich Nietzsche. A work of Nietzsche's later years, The Antichrist was written after Thus Spoke Zarathustra and shortly before the mental collapse that incapacitated him for the rest of his life. The work is both an unrestrained attack on Christianity and a further exposition of Nietzsche's will-to-power philosophy so dramatically presented in Zarathustra.Christianity, says Nietzsche, represents "everything weak, low, and botched; it has made an ideal out of antagonism towards all the self-preservative instincts of strong life." By contrast, Nietzsche defines good as: "...

Expanding on his ideas from Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Nietzsche's radical polemic Beyond Good and Evil undermines the assumptions of traditional morality and encourages us to think more critically about the world in which we live. In this famous text, Nietzsche considers past philosophers and religious leaders from Socrates to Descartes to Schopenhauer with a critical and pessimistic eye.

Morrison offers an illuminating study of two linked traditions that have figured prominently in 20th-century thought: Buddhism and the philosophy of Nietzsche. Nietzsche admired Buddhism, but saw it as a dangerously nihilistic religion; he forged his own affirmative philosophy in reaction...

This book uncovers the deep, often overlooked connection between Friedrich Nietzsche and the ancient Persian prophet Zarathustra. At the heart of Nietzsche's boldest philosophy lies a hidden dialogue-one shaped by Zarathustra's teachings on transformation, cosmic order, and the eternal struggle between light and darkness. As Nietzsche confronts the collapse of traditional morality and the search for meaning beyond religion, the voice of Zarathustra echoes through his work, offering fire, clarity, and vision.

In 1887, Friedrich Nietzsche aimed to delve deeper into the concepts he had only briefly addressed in Beyond Good and Evil, particularly in Aphorism 260, with the release of The Genealogy of Morals. This work is notable for being one of Nietzsches least aphoristic texts, showcasing his exceptional analytical skills. It profoundly examines the ascetic ideal and provides invaluable insights into the ecclesiastical view of those burdened by resentment and misfortune. This exploration enriches our understanding of sacerdotal psychology, making it a crucial contribution to philosophical discourse. ...

The Antichrist by Friedrich Nietzsche. Ecce Homo, The Antichrist is the last thing that Nietzsche ever wrote, and so it may be accepted as a statement of some of his most salient ideas in their final form. Of all Nietzsche’s books, The Antichrist comes nearest to conventionality in form. It presents a connected argument with very few interludes, and has a beginning, a middle and an end. The reason to listen to this version is that H.L. Mencken, the famous journalist, turned Nietzsche's German into such direct, plain-spoken American English that it puts the haranguing philosopher right...

Beyond Good and Evil confirmed Nietzsche's position as the towering European philosopher of his age. The work dramatically rejects the tradition of Western thought with its notions of truth and God, good and evil. Nietzsche demonstrates that the Christian world is steeped in a false piety and infected with a "slave morality". With wit and energy, he turns from this critique to a philosophy that celebrates the present and demands that the individual imposes their own "will to power" upon the world.
