🎙️ Welcome to ZeloCast : Glow with the Flow — where music, meaning, and a whole lot of good vibes come together! 🎶✨

Hosted by The Zelotones, Singapore’s very own passionate, independent band, we’re all about sharing real-life stories, spreading positivity, and championing inclusion for persons with disabilities (PWD).

Meet the crew:

🎸 Zach (bass) – Founder, groove master, and proof that losing sight doesn’t mean losing vision. From navigating blindness in young adulthood to rocking the bass like nobody’s business, Zach’s got wisdom and wicked riffs.

🥁 Alex (drums) – Started on bass, leveled up to drums, now smashing Grade 5 exams like it’s no big deal. Visually impaired since young, Alex’s independence and “why not?” attitude make him a powerhouse on and off stage.

🎤 Zyana (vocals & rhythm guitar) – Our powerhouse vocalist with a heart full of stories and a guitar that never lies. Living with tunnel vision hasn’t stopped her from crafting beautiful arrangements and lighting up any stage.

🎹 Ben (keys) – The “jukebox” pianist with Grade 8 chops, a killer smile, and a life story that redefines resilience. After two serious accidents, Ben’s motto is simple: keep playing, keep glowing.

💪 The Zelotones do it all – music, admin, PR, finances – proving that disability doesn’t define limits. We use our voices (and instruments!) to amplify PWD perspectives, spark conversations, and build a more inclusive Singapore.

Every episode, expect a mix of:

💬 Honest chats about life’s ups and downs

    • Episode 31 : Being Helpful, Not Hurtful
      Jan 25 2026

Welcome to Episode 31 — and yes, it’s a special one because we’re celebrating Zyana’s birthday! 🎉 (She’s still waiting on Ben’s mysterious birthday gift… no pressure, Ben 👀). While the cake’s imaginary, the conversation is very real as we dive into a topic that affects everyday life: Being Helpful, Not Hurtful.

This episode is all about how the public can support persons with disabilities without making things awkward, uncomfortable, or accidentally offensive. Along the way, we share some laugh-out-loud moments — like the time Alex was on a train and genuinely thought a group of strangers was Zyana talking to him… because their voices sounded exactly the same. Awkward? Absolutely. Hilarious? Also yes.

We break down simple but important tips, like saying a person’s name first when speaking in a group (trust us, it helps), or why a gentle tap on the shoulder or cane works way better than a random “hello” shouted into the void of a crowded station.

Got questions about guiding? Here’s a big one: please don’t lift our white canes 🙏. The best way to help is letting us hold your elbow or shoulder so we can follow your movement naturally. We also share how we “see” the world differently — through sounds, textures, and even smells (yes, Subway has a very specific scent, and Peninsula Plaza has a vibe).

Most importantly, we remind our friends in the PWD community not to go full “action” mode when help is offered. Kindness goes both ways. With patience, communication, and a little empathy, we can build a more inclusive society together.

We wrap things up with a fun round of “Where Are We Now?” with Chantiq — because no Zelocast episode is complete without a game.

Together, we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨

    • Episode 30 : Commuting with Compassion
      Jan 19 2026

We’ve officially hit the big 3–0! 🎉 Welcome to Episode 30 of Zelocast, a milestone episode where we pause, reflect… and then immediately dive back into the chaos of everyday life.

This week’s episode, “Commuting with Compassion,” takes on the sometimes stressful, sometimes surprisingly wholesome world of public transport in Singapore. From viral moments of seat-demanding aunties to that controversial train video with a rowdy kid and a silent parent, we unpack it all — with honesty, empathy, and a bit of side-eye.

We talk about why priority seats matter, but also why kindness works better than entitlement. Zyana and Alex even drop their personal “pro-tips” for surviving crowded cabins — including how white canes double up as a mental GPS to find empty spots (while trying not to whack too many shins 😅).

Ben opens up about a more vulnerable side, sharing why he hasn’t taken a train in over eight years after his second accident affected his balance and leg strength. It’s real, raw, and eye-opening.

And because we like to keep things chill, we share our favourite commuting hack: if the train’s too packed, just hop off and wait — because different trains really do have different hearts. 💛

To end on a lighter note, we wrap things up with a fun round of “Riddle of Roads,” testing our transport knowledge and wits.

It’s heartfelt, funny, and full of perspective. Tune in as we talk about making Singapore a little more inclusive — one commute at a time.
Together, we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨

    • Episode 29 : Inside the Change
      Jan 11 2026

Welcome back to Week Two of 2026 with Episode 29: Inside the Change! 🛠️✨

First things first — thank you, ZeloFam, for being patient with us while we wrestle with some YouTube technical hiccups. The struggle is real 😅 (psst… you can still catch the full New Year episode on Spotify).

This week, the crew gets honest about how dreams shift, goals evolve, and life doesn’t always follow the plan you had at age ten. Alex takes us way back to his childhood — when his biggest dream was to be a bus driver, complete with cycling from bench to bench pretending to pick up passengers. Iconic.

We talk about learning to adapt when life throws a curveball — whether that means switching career paths or “renovating” your own skills to fit a new season. And because we keep it real, Alex and Zyana share a very human throwback to moving into their BTO in 2014… washing plates in a plastic baby tub because there was no kitchen sink yet. Glamorous? No. Memorable? Absolutely.

From surviving on $10 for two weeks to leaning on quiet family support, this episode is about discipline, resilience, and trusting the process. Ben wraps it up with a reminder: don’t compare your renovation journey to anyone else’s. Move at your own pace — there is light at the end of the tunnel if you keep going.

Together, we make a difference. Win or lose, we’re still champions. 🏆✨
