What would happen if I were suddenly reduced to miniature scale and had to survive inside one of my own dioramas?

In this episode, I step inside my box diorama Algorithm as Art and find out very quickly that choices made for the viewer’s eye can become something else entirely when I have to move through the scene myself. Groundwork turns into hazardous terrain. Forced perspective keeps making the rooms smaller. A glowing window that works beautifully from outside the box is no help at all from inside. And the robot worries me through the entire adventure without ever moving.

The episode is playful, but the thought experiment kept leading me back to some serious questions about miniature design, scale, perception, forced perspective, and the way a scene controls where we look and how we move through it. It also brought me back to the reason I built Algorithm as Art in the first place: my unease about artificial intelligence and what its presence can do to artists even before the machine appears to act.

It is part miniature disaster story, part design experiment, and probably the strangest tour I have ever taken through one of my own boxes.
