      About Jean-François Geneste
      Jean-Francois graduated from ISAE-SUPAERO, a World leader in aerospace engineering higher education, with degrees in Aeronautical Engineering & Cryptology. Employed at EADS Astrium he was senior manager of innovations, focusing on telecommunications satellites. He worked at Airbus for 12 years, where he began as scientific advisor, ending his career there as vice president and chief scientist. Jean-Francois then spent 2 years as an expert advisor and Professor of Innovation & entrepreneurship at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Moscow Russia. He is now the CEO at World Advanced Research Project Agency (WARPA) which is based in the greater Toulouse area.


      Questions:
      1)What do you think about the Space X project and similar companies? How will the big players adapt to the new space market?
      2)Space travel: How close are we to interplanetary space travel?
      3)Can you tell us more about WARPA?
      4)What are the real breakthroughs that come with all these new companies?
      5)How is Europe doing? What is needed for Europe to get ahead? Is there a lack of innovation?

      About Fabrizio Boer:
      Fabrizio Boer has a background in mechanical engineering. He earned his Master’s ‘Degree from Polytechnic of Turin in Aeronautical Engineering and Flight Mechanics. His career experience includes Senior Mechanical Engineer for Paggio Aerospace. He held the same post at Antwerp Aerospace. Alenia AirNSpace had him as Senior Operations Engineer. Time at GNK aerospace saw him return to mechanical engineer. He also sat on the European Commision, as an Independent Expert Evaluator. Fabrizio is now the Chief Mechanical Officer for GSM Automotive in the UK where he is currently based. Recently he transitioned to both Chief technical officer and director at SHIPINSPACE

      3. What are the hurdles of private space projects?

About Youval Nehmadi and Pierre Olivier:Youval Nehmadi has over 25 years of experience in the high-tech industry, including in applied materials, algorithms, computer vison, deep neural networks, and business development in both large enterprises and startups. He holds a PhD in 3D sensor fusion for autonomous vehicles and an EMBA from Kellogg-Recanati of Tel Aviv University, and is the owner of more than twenty patents.In January 2016, along with Ronny Cohen, Youval co-founded VayaVision, a sensor fusion and perception software company focusing on the autonomous driving market. VayaVision developed an innovative patented technology that enables best-in-class sensing with added-value cognition abilities at an affordable price.In July of 2020, VayaVision was acquired by LeddarTech, a global leader in Level 1-5 ADAS and AD environmental sensing technology. Today Youval is the Engineering Director in Sensor Fusion & Perception at VayaVision, a LeddarTech Company. Pierre is the CTO at LeddarTech.Recognized for his technical expertise as well as his vision, Pierre has numerous years’ experience in the development of high-tech products.Upon graduating from university in 1991, he joined CML Technologies, where very early on, his ability to manage projects in a pragmatic and efficient manner became clear. He quickly moved up the corporate ladder, while developing his management skills. Pierre has also designed a number of innovative, adaptable, practical, and robust products that are used worldwide in strategic applications such as emergency dispatch and air traffic control, and he holds several patents for his work.
