  • Night of the Monsters
    Jul 10 2024

Once upon a time, In a faraway place — Stood a small town that was troubled, by an evil witch’s grace.

Every year the same night, Monsters woke and attacked — And the people had to fight, to protect their own land.

The monster army had the numbers, Werewolves, demons, and undead — Even creatures throwing thunders, and vampires spreading dread.

After years of misfortune, And a great deal of pain —People talked about their options, how the monsters they could slay.

The next year this dreaded night, In the town’s main square — Came a black cat named Midnight, with green eyes that would glare.

People thought she was a monster, In their houses got locked up — On the empty streets, she wandered, without even looking back.

She went straight into the forest, Little time she had left — As the cursed night drew closer, Midnight had to be quite deft.

Just in time, she finds the portal, That was created years ago — And would open on The Great Moon, allowing monsters to come through.

Her green eyes started pulsing, Her slim body to transform — As Midnight started casting, aspell in her human form.

The Disciples of Evil, gave it all and fought like hell — In the end, though, they were no match, for Midnight’s powerful spell.

The cat’s quest was now completed, And the peace had been restored — For The Night of the Monsters, could harm no one anymore.

No one saw her from that day, Cause she never came back — But Midnight became a legend, as their lives got back on track.

  • Healing Touch - Tales of a Therapist | 100-word drabble
    Jun 28 2024

Mat showed me a photo of his ex-wife, her beauty a sharp contrast to the emptiness in his eyes. As he spoke, his voice trembled with sorrow. “She was my everything,” he said, the weight of his loss evident in each word. “Without her, I’m lost.”

As a therapist, I knew healing required him to face the pain head-on. “Confront your feelings,” I urged gently. “Only then can you find happiness again.” As he wiped his tears, I saw a flicker of hope in his eyes and knew we had taken the first important step toward his healing.

  • A spark of creativity | 100-word drabble

They all look so happy. And why wouldn’t they be? It’s the happiest day of their life and one more “worst day” of mine. After all these years, I have gotten used to asking them to smile at me. Though, I haven’t been able to smile myself behind the camera.

I am trapped in a job I used to love, and now it makes me sick. Photography was my life and passion, but I traded my imagination for a salary. Thus, weddings had my creativity run dry.

I fear the day my love for my art will cease to exist.

The old man sat on the bench, his hands resting on the smooth wood of his violin. He used to play in the streets, lifting the spirits of those he encountered. A small crowd started gathering, drawn in by the bittersweet melodies of his instrument.

His music reached deep within each listener, filling them with hope and joy. Some started dancing, others singing along. His music had the power to bring people together and heal the wounds of the soul.

And as long as he had his violin, he would continue to magically spellbind everyone lucky enough to meet him.

  • The Lion King and the Whispering Forest EP01
    Jun 25 2024
One sunny morning in the Pride Lands, the golden savannah was alive with the sounds of chattering birds and rustling grass. Young Simba and Nala, full of energy and curiosity, were playing near Pride Rock. Simba crouched low, his tail twitching as he prepared to pounce on Nala. “Gotcha!” he roared, springing forward. Nala, however, was quick and agile. She dodged his playful attack, laughing as she did. “You’re getting slow, Simba!” Nala teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “No way! I’m just warming up,” Simba retorted, grinning. “Bet you can’t catch me!” “Oh, we’ll see about that!” Nala challenged, darting after him. They chased each other through the tall grass, their laughter echoing across the savannah. Simba zigzagged, trying to lose Nala, but she was fast and determined. She finally tackled him, and they tumbled together, rolling and giggling. “Gotcha!” Nala declared triumphantly, pinning Simba down. “Alright, alright, you win,” Simba laughed. “But only because I let you.” “Sure you did,” Nala said, playfully rolling her eyes. They lay on the grass, catching their breath, when Simba’s ears perked up. He heard voices coming from nearby. “Hey, do you hear that?” he whispered. Nala lifted her head, listening. “Yeah, it sounds like Zazu and your dad.” Curious, they quietly crept closer, peeking through the tall grass. They saw Zazu, the majordomo hornbill, talking to Mufasa, the great king of the Pride Lands. “Your Majesty, we have a troubling situation in the Whispering Forest,” Zazu said, flapping his wings nervously. Mufasa’s expression grew serious. “What has happened, Zazu?” Zazu took a deep breath. “As you know, the Whispering Forest has always been a place of tranquility. The trees would softly whisper the good deeds and cherished memories of those who passed through. It was a place where one could reflect and feel at peace.” Mufasa nodded. “Yes, I remember. The forest was a sanctuary for many. I recall walking through the forest with my father. The whispers spoke of his wisdom and courage, and it gave me strength and pride. It was a place where I felt connected to the past and inspired for the future.” Mufasa then looked intently at Zazu. “But how do you know something has changed?” Zazu straightened, his feathers ruffling slightly. “Several animals came to me, sharing their disturbing experiences. They spoke of the whispers bringing up past regrets and fears, rather than comfort and peace. It sounded so alarming that I decided to investigate myself.” Mufasa raised an eyebrow. “And what did you find?” Zazu continued, “When I ventured into the forest, I experienced it firsthand. The whispers were no longer gentle and soothing. Instead, they were eerie and unsettling, as if the forest itself was trying to torment those who entered. I could feel it in the air — something was terribly wrong.” Mufasa’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “That is indeed troubling. Have the animals said anything else?” Zazu nodded. “Many of the animals have fled the forest, unable to bear the new whispers. Others have gone missing entirely. It’s as if something is luring them away, but we don’t know where or why.” Mufasa’s expression grew more serious. “Until we understand what is happening, we must keep everyone away from the forest. Alert the pride. No one is to go near the Whispering Forest until we find out what has caused this change.” “Of course, Your Majesty. But how do you plan to approach this problem?” Zazu asked, his concern evident. Mufasa took a deep breath. “I will visit Rafiki myself come morning. His wisdom and knowledge of the ancient magic might provide us with the answers we need.” “Very well, Your Majesty. I will inform the pride and ensure no one ventures into the forest,” Zazu said, bowing slightly before taking flight.

  • Family Lost | 100-word drabble
    Jun 25 2024

The kitty moved from one car to another, trying to avoid the heavy rain of the city. It reflected on the times it used to jump from Dad’s sofa to the wooden chairs.

It tried to find shelter under a big, yellow car to protect itself from the cold outside. It remembered how cozy and warm it used to be in Selina’s playroom.

It searched the garbage for something edible to quelch its hunger. It recalled the tasty biscuits that mom fed her in the morning.

But it couldn’t help but wonder. Does its family remember it anymore?
