This is the Season One finale of the Type 2 Travel Podcast, and it's the sequel to Under Construction, the biggest episode in the history of this show. That one was recorded days before I left for a two-month trip through India, Kenya, Egypt, and Morocco. This one is everything that happened after I hit publish: the phone call that changed the trajectory of my business on day one, the house that refused to sell until I came home to say goodbye, and the realization that snuck up on me somewhere in between: for the first time in five years, I don't need this business to survive.

Which left me holding a question I couldn't put down all spring...if it's not about survival anymore, what is it for?

Nikki turned 40 last September, and she hadn't traveled internationally in almost half that time. So she decided to give herself the gift of getting back out there by joining a group trip to Cuba with her best friend of 28 years and one of my frequent travelers, Danielle.
