  • Lift What You Are Already Doing
    Sep 24 2026
🎙️ Lift What You Are Already Doing What if your next side hustle isn't something you need to invent? What if it's already hiding inside something you're doing right now? That's the idea behind iLyft4U Phase II. In this episode of Trail Boss Radio, we move to the third building block of the iLyft4U Phase II system: Lift What You Are Already Doing. Instead of telling people to start from scratch, iLyft4U looks at the resources they already have: Skills. Tools. Technology. Experience. Relationships. Time. Vehicles. Knowledge. Then we start asking better questions. What problem could these resources solve? Who has that problem? Could I test a solution without building a huge business first? That's where the content engine comes into the picture. 🧠 One Notebook. One Job. Rather than putting everything into one giant notebook, each notebook can have a specific job. For example: Side-Hustle Finder Notebook Generates categories, filters, examples, and descriptions. Jargon Translator Notebook Takes complicated business or technology language and turns it into plain English. Opportunity Scorecard Notebook Creates criteria, templates, and explanations for evaluating an idea. Local Opportunity Hub Notebook Looks at DFW-area opportunities, examples, and local resources. MAKE Test Notebook Documents the real-world experiment, timeline, observations, lessons, and future tests. Each notebook becomes a content engine for its own block. The notebook gets deeper. The ideas get clearer. The terminology gets consistent. The templates get better. And eventually, the best pieces can move from the private thinking environment to the public website. 🐂 This Is Bigger Than Content This isn't just about producing more website pages. It's about creating a repeatable learning system. We can take an idea. Research it. Break it down. Build a small test. Document what happens. Improve the framework. Then turn what we learned into something useful for the next person. That's the difference between simply creating content and building a living laboratory. And there's another important lesson here: The notebook doesn't have to be perfect before you start. In fact, this notebook started with no sources uploaded yet. That's okay. You don't need a finished engine before you begin building it. You can start with the question. Then add the research. Then add examples. Then create the template. Then run the experiment. Then improve the system. 🌱 Lift — Don't Start Over That's the heart of iLyft4U Phase II. We're looking for ways to lift what you're already doing into something that might create additional value. Not a promise. Not a get-rich-quick scheme. Not another complicated online-income system. Just a practical question: “What do I already have that might be worth testing?” Then we test it. The result is the result. If it works, document it. If it doesn't work, document that too. Because a failed experiment can still teach us something valuable. That's how we build Real Experiments. Real Stories. And that's how the iLyft4U Opportunity Laboratory continues to grow. 🌐 Explore the Trail Boss Ecosystem iLyft4U — Real Experiments. Real Stories. • Stop Drafting on Your Live Website
    Sep 24 2026
🎙️ Stop Drafting on Your Live Website Your website is not your workshop. It's your storefront. In this episode of Trail Boss Radio, we continue our iLyft4U Phase II — 7-part thinking series with a simple idea that can save a lot of time and frustration: Stop drafting on your live website. When an idea is still changing, putting it directly onto your website can create a never-ending rewrite cycle. You change a definition. Then you change the page. Then you change the navigation. Then you realize the first version doesn't match the new version. Then you rewrite it again. There's a better way. 🧠 Build in the Notebook First The notebook becomes the workshop where ideas can grow without disrupting the public website. You can: Expand an idea Test different explanations Refine terminology Add examples Build templates Create questions and answers Develop test plans Organize sections Write podcast scripts Create case studies Generate audio overviews Turn rough thinking into polished, reusable blocks And you can keep doing it. Infinite expansion without breaking the site. Once the thinking is mature, you take the finished piece and move it to the website. That changes the job. Instead of constantly rebuilding the website while you're still trying to figure out what you mean, the website becomes the place where your finished thinking is presented clearly. 🐂 The Trail Boss Workflow Here's the simple version: Think → Build → Test → Refine → Publish The notebook is where we think, build, test, and refine. The website is where we publish. That separation creates something important: Clarity before commitment. And that's especially important for iLyft4U Phase II. We're building an Opportunity Laboratory designed to help people look at the resources they already have — their skills, tools, experience, relationships, vehicles, technology, and available time — and ask: “What could I do with what I already have?” Those ideas are going to change. That's okay. Let them change in the notebook. 🌱 Don't Build the Whole Ranch Today One of the biggest lessons from this experiment is that you don't have to make everything public while you're still figuring it out. Build the thinking engine first. Create the building blocks. Test the ideas. Document what happens. Then publish what has earned its place. That means the website can stay clean, intentional, and useful while the thinking behind it continues to grow. The notebook can keep expanding. The website doesn't have to break every time the thinking changes. That's the advantage of separating the workshop from the storefront. And that may be one of the most useful lessons from building iLyft4U Phase II. Real Experiments. Real Stories. 🌐 Explore the Trail Boss Ecosystem iLyft4U — Real Experiments. Real Stories. • Build Your Second Act Thinking Engine First
    Sep 24 2026
🎙️ Build Your Second Act Thinking Engine First

What if your next chapter doesn't begin with a business plan?

What if it begins with a thinking engine?

In this episode of Trail Boss Radio, we take a closer look at the first building block of iLyft4U Phase II: the notebook.

    The idea is simple.

Before we put something on a website, sell something, launch something, or tell the world about an idea, we need a place to think it through.

That's what the iLyft4U Phase II notebook is becoming.

Think of it as a private workshop where we can:

    • Expand rough ideas

    • Refine definitions

    • Add real-world examples

    • Build templates

    • Create test plans

    • Develop scorecards

    • Document experiments

    • Write case studies

    • Create podcast scripts

    • Generate audio overviews

    • Ask better questions

    • Learn from what actually happens

This is important because building too quickly can create a mess just as easily as it can create a business.

The notebook gives us room to experiment before we publish.

🐂 The Trail Boss Thinking Process

iLyft4U Phase II is not about starting from scratch.

It's about looking at what you already have:

Your skills. Your tools. Your experience. Your relationships. Your daily routine. Your knowledge. Your resources.

    Then we ask:

Could something I'm already doing become something more?

Instead of promising success, we build small experiments.

Instead of guessing, we collect evidence.

Instead of pretending every idea will work, we document the ones that do — and the ones that don't.

That's the heart of Real Experiments. Real Stories.

The notebook becomes the thinking engine.

The website becomes the place where the finished lessons can eventually be shared.

And the real world becomes the testing ground.

    🔎 The Bigger Idea

This is the first of a planned series looking at the different pieces that make up the iLyft4U Phase II opportunity laboratory.

We're not trying to build the whole ranch today.

We're trying to find one trail worth testing.

So before you ask, “What business should I start?”

    Maybe the better question is:

“What am I already doing that deserves a closer look?”

That is where your second act might begin.
