    • Coordinated Attacks on Pulka and Mandaragirau (14-15 February 2026) : Militants launched simultaneous attacks on two military bases.
      • In Mandaragirau , the army managed to repel the attackers, but several military personnel and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were reportedly killed in the action.
      • In Pulka (near the Cameroon border), rebels briefly breached the base's perimeter and destroyed some equipment before being forced back by reinforcements. Senior ISWAP commander Abou Aisha was reportedly killed in the exchange of fire.

    • The Threat of Malnutrition : Around 4.2 million children and pregnant and lactating mothers are estimated to suffer from acute malnutrition throughout 2026, an increase of 14% from the previous year.
    • Funding Crisis : The World Food Programme (WFP) warns that food aid stocks will run out by the end of March 2026 due to a severe funding shortfall . The WFP needs $700 million to continue operations until June 2026.
    • Access Barriers : Ongoing violence, drone attacks, and the siege of areas by the warring parties (SAF and RSF) drastically limit the ability of humanitarian organizations to deliver aid to the areas most in need.
