  • Massachusetts' New Abortion Law: Why Is a Messianic Rabbi Challenging Pastors?
    Oct 5 2026
Why is a Messianic rabbi challenging Christian pastors to speak up about Massachusetts' new abortion law? Pastor Tim Hatch sits down with Rabbi Henry Morse for a timely conversation about Massachusetts Chapter 188, the Repeal 188 effort, abortion, the Church's role in politics and culture, Israel, antisemitism, and the responsibility of pastors to stand for biblical truth. At the center of the conversation is a provocative question: When an issue is fundamentally moral, should pastors remain silent simply because the culture calls it political? Rabbi Morse explains why he has become involved in the effort to repeal Massachusetts Chapter 188 and why he believes Christian pastors and churches need to engage. Pastor Tim and Rabbi Henry discuss biblical courage, the early Church, persecution, cultural pressure, and what happens when Christians withdraw from difficult moral issues. The conversation also becomes deeply personal. Rabbi Henry shares his journey from an Orthodox Jewish upbringing to faith in Jesus (Yeshua), his years of evangelism, reaching Jewish people through Messianic prophecy, and a powerful story about his father near the end of his life. They also discuss: • Massachusetts Chapter 188 and the Repeal 188 petition effort • Why abortion is more than a political issue • Why some pastors hesitate to address controversial cultural issues • Biblical boldness, persecution, and the early Church • Rabbi Henry Morse's journey to faith in Jesus • Jewish evangelism and Messianic prophecy • Sexual morality and the breakdown of the family • Letitia James, Cornell, and sexual accountability • October 7, Israel, and rising antisemitism • Why Christians should support Israel • Israel's place in biblical prophecy • Rabbi Henry's final challenge to pastors and churches The Deep End with Pastor Tim Hatch examines today's news, politics, culture, and faith through a biblical worldview. 👉 Subscribe to Tim Hatch Live for more conversations that go beyond the headlines and ask what Scripture has to say about the issues shaping our culture. 💬 What do you think? • When God Is Not Part Of Your Plans - Isaiah 2:1-4:1
    Oct 1 2026
What happens when we leave God out of our plans and exalt ourselves instead? In this study of Isaiah 2–4, Pastor Tim Hatch shows how human pride sets us on a collision course with God—and how the answer isn't trying harder, but letting God lead. Welcome to Episode 2 of The First Gospel: Knowing Jesus Through the Prophecies of Isaiah, a 40-episode Deep Dive Bible Study exploring the ancient prophecies of Isaiah and how they point to Jesus Christ. In Isaiah 2:1–4:1, Isaiah lifts our eyes to the mountain of the Lord, where one day the nations will stream to worship and "beat their swords into plowshares." But Judah was living the opposite story—prosperous, self-reliant, full of idols and foreign alliances, leaving God out of their plans. Isaiah warns of the Day of the Lord, when everything proud and lofty will be brought low and "the Lord alone will be exalted." Chapters 3 and 4 trace the collapse that follows self-rule—and then the hope that remains: the Branch of the Lord, a holy remnant, and God's promise to shelter and lead His people once again. In this episode, discover: • Why leaving God out of our plans is the root of so much of our brokenness. • What the "mountain of the Lord" reveals about God's ultimate purpose for the nations. • How the Day of the Lord exposes and humbles human pride. • Why prosperity and self-sufficiency can quietly push God to the margins. • What the "Branch of the Lord" in Isaiah 4 points to—and how it leads us to Jesus. • How God's promise to lead His people frees us from the exhausting work of leading ourselves. Isaiah calls us to stop exalting our own plans and let God lead—because the God who humbles the proud is the same God who shelters and restores a remnant. 📖 SCRIPTURE: Isaiah 2:1–4:1 (ESV) 📘 GET THE FIRST GOSPEL COMPANION JOURNAL Deepen your study of Isaiah with the companion devotional and journal, featuring Scripture readings, reflection questions, and space for personal prayer. https://timhatchlive.com/books ▶️ ABOUT THE FIRST GOSPEL Join Pastor Tim Hatch for a 40-episode Bible study through Isaiah. • Why Are Adults Refusing to Grow Up? Madonna, Kidults & the Toy Boom
    Sep 28 2026
Why are so many adults refusing to grow up? Adults are becoming one of the fastest-growing forces in the toy industry, millions are turning to childhood nostalgia for comfort, and even celebrity culture seems obsessed with staying forever young. From the booming “kidult” toy market to Madonna at the 2026 MTV VMAs, Pastor Tim Hatch asks a bigger question: What happened to adulthood? In this episode of The Deep End, Pastor Tim examines the rise of kidulting—adults buying toys, collecting childhood favorites, sleeping with stuffed animals, watching cartoons, and returning to nostalgic hobbies for comfort, community, stress relief, and escape. But the toy aisle is only the beginning. As U.S. birth rates fall, Americans delay marriage and parenthood, loneliness increases, and fewer households include children, Pastor Tim explores whether the kidult boom reflects something deeper: a culture increasingly anxious about the future and tempted to retreat into the security of the past. The conversation also turns to Madonna and the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, celebrity culture’s obsession with youth, the psychology of nostalgia, adult LEGO and collectibles, stuffed animals and mental health, the rising cost of starting a family, declining fertility, and the difference between enjoying a childhood hobby and refusing the responsibilities of adulthood. And there’s an important distinction: owning LEGO, playing drums, collecting toys, or enjoying an old hobby doesn’t make someone immature. The deeper question is where we look for comfort, security, belonging, identity, and purpose—and whether fear is keeping us from moving forward. What does the Bible say about growing up? Jesus calls us to become childlike—but not childish. Biblical maturity isn't simply about age, income, marriage, children, or whether you own toys. It means learning to trust God, take responsibility, love others sacrificially, build meaningful relationships, and move toward the future God has called us to rather than living in the past. - Why adults are buying more toys - The rise of “kidults” and kidulting - Toys, plushies, LEGO, nostalgia, and mental health - Why adults are sleeping with stuffed animals - Madonna and the 2026 MTV VMAs - Celebrity culture and the obsession with staying young - Loneliness, anxiety, comfort, and community - Declining U.S. birth and fertility rates - Delayed marriage, parenthood, and homeownership - Why nostalgia can become an escape - Family, responsibility, and biblical adulthood - Childishness vs. becoming childlike - Where Christians should find comfort, security, and belonging The world is trying to solve a God-sized ache with child-sized toys. The comfort you're looking for is found in Christ. The security you're looking for is found in Him. The belonging you're looking for is found in His Church. You don't have to go backward to childhood to find peace—you can move forward toward the Father. So grow up—and come home. 👍 Like this episode, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear this conversation. ▶ Be part of sharing the Truth: Support Tim Hatch Live 💥 Become a monthly partner and receive exclusive channel perks: Tim Hatch Live Patreon 20% of all giving is tithed back out to the American Bible Society and Project Rescue.
