We discuss the need for positivity in a world predominated by negative messages. Fear garners attention which is built into social media algorithms and mainstream media coverage. The purpose of activism and media is to distract and divide society into those for and those against. It is a process that is eroding democracy. Now more than ever it is necessary to explore this strategy of dividing and conquering and take the power back. We need to start conversations that are positive and encourage people to communicate.
