In keeping with my overall theme of economic factors that affect all of us in one fashion or another, as I told everyone last week, we’re going to talk about health care systems around the world today. Especially the systems in the U.S.

As a U.S. military veteran, I’m also going to talk about the U.S. Veterans Administration’s free health care for veterans as well. It’s free but at a cost for the veterans, and I don’t mean out of pocket monetary expenses.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit and let me tell you about some of my experiences with the VA through the years and I will try and offer some comparison between some of more common health care systems available to people around the world.

I want to conclude my current climate change series with a look at what a dystopian future landscape might look like within the next twenty five years or so. I’m staying with the climate change topic some more as I think it’s becoming very important, even though everyone in the world is busy watching the wars in the middle east.

As I said last week, some of that dust and debris from all of those bombs ends up in the upper atmosphere where the winds scatter across continents. But that’s small potatoes compared to all of the emissions from burning fossil fuels over the last couple of centuries. All of which is causing more cataclysmic climate issues than concrete bomb dust will ever do.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I talk about rising water levels, wildfires, droughts and so much more.

I’m going to revisit climate change again this week. We talked about it a couple of weeks ago but that was before Trump and Netanyahu decided to start bombing Iran and creating a global oil and soon, a global food crisis. The world won’t really see the effects of this until harvest season later this year but it will ripple forward through next winter and into 2027.
