Welcome to The Village Oak Tree

I’m your host, Terrance Ó Domhnaill.

Thank you for joining me again this week.

As promised, I have part 2 of my discussion about the parallels between the old U.S.S.R., and the U.S. in 2026. I left off last week with what happened to the Soviet Union in December of 1991, and a taste of what happened to them until Putin came to power in 1999. Today, I’m going to get deeper into the weeds about what that could look like if the United States should follow in Russia’s footsteps. I will also beg your indulgence for this lengthy podcast, as there is a lot to say about today’s topic. Please bear with me.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I continue with part 2 of the collapse of the old Soviet Union, and compare that event to the United States today.
