On Episode 60 of The Sensitive Man Podcast, Simon Lim features Japanese pianist Kotaro Fukuma. Born in Tokyo, Kotaro Fukuma has displayed limitless potential, clinching prestigious awards in international competitions. His career flourished after winning the First Prize and the Chopin Prize at the 15th Cleveland International Piano Competition at the age of 20. Currently, he tours five continents, including Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America. Kotaro’s mentors include Mitsuko Uchida, Richard Goode and Maria Joao Pires. He performs in major concert venues, and works with the world’s finest orchestras and conductors. Kotaro has released eighteen commercial CDs (several released by renowned labels like Naxos) and often appears in music magazines like Gramophone.
