  • The Ballot, The Algorithm & The Accountability Gaps
    Oct 8 2026

What happens when the people asking for your vote are also being asked to answer some very difficult questions about technology, privacy, public safety, and accountability?

Tonight on The Second Act Executive, Tawnie Wolf takes a closer look at Virginia’s 2026 ballot, including the constitutional questions surrounding reproductive healthcare, marriage equality, and voting rights, as well as several of the races shaping the Commonwealth’s representation in Washington.

We look at candidates including Senator Mark Warner and Bert Mizusawa, Congressman Rob Wittman and Shannon Taylor, and Congressman Eugene Vindman, while asking a much bigger question: What responsibility do elected officials have when technology is being used to threaten, intimidate, exploit, or harass ordinary people and their families?

    The conversation goes beyond politics.

Tawnie examines the economics of attention, the monetization of outrage, social media, artificial intelligence, surveillance technology, data privacy, family safety, and the growing infrastructure demands behind AI.

She also confronts an uncomfortable reality: there have been documented cases in which individuals have been prosecuted or held legally accountable for serious online threats, cyberstalking, sexual misconduct, and other abusive behavior. So what happens when similar conduct appears online today, while victims are left asking who is actually going to intervene?

Where is the line between free speech and unlawful conduct?

Who protects families when online harassment escalates?

What responsibility belongs to social media platforms?

And what responsibility belongs to the politicians asking for our votes?

This episode is not about handing you a political conclusion. It is about asking better questions, reading beyond the headlines, examining the people and policies on your ballot, and demanding meaningful accountability from institutions with the power to act.

Who has the power? Who controls the technology? Who pays the price? And who is protecting the people caught in the middle?

Your second act is not about becoming quieter.

It is about becoming more informed.

  • Your Vote, Their Promises, Their Accountability
    Oct 1 2026

In this episode of The Second Act Executive, Tawnie Wolf gets real about what it means to enter your second act with experience, knowledge, confidence, and the willingness to finally execute.

Tawnie talks about digital privacy, data harvesting, device tracking, social media incentives, Big Tech, and the growing debate around data centers. She asks important questions about water usage, infrastructure, environmental responsibility, recycling and reuse, local jobs, and how communities can embrace technology without abandoning accountability.

She also gets personal about identity, family, children, privacy, and what it means to refuse to let other people define you based on how you look or use your family for somebody else’s agenda.

With the 2026 Virginia election approaching, Tawnie also takes a look at the people appearing on the ballot in the Williamsburg area, including:

    • Mark Warner and Bert Mizusawa in the U.S. Senate race.

    • Shannon Taylor and Rob Wittman in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District race.

    • Stacy E. Kern-Scheerer, Eino I. Korpela, and Carolyn A. Murphy in the Williamsburg City Council race for two open seats. (League of Women Voters Williamsburg)

The episode explores the kinds of questions voters can ask candidates about their priorities, policies, accountability, follow through, technology, families, small businesses, infrastructure, and their communities.

Tawnie also talks about Gaia Gate Wellness, the Gaia Gate Readers Circle, and the books currently being discussed: “Careless People” by Sarah Wynn-Williams and “The 48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene.

She discusses her commitment to giving back through Gaia Gate Wellness, including support for the Avalon Center, and why October’s conversations around domestic violence awareness and breast cancer awareness are especially important.

But underneath all of these conversations is one central message:

Your second act is not about starting over.

It is about taking everything you’ve learned, everything you’ve survived, everything you’ve built, and everything you now understand and putting it into action.

    This is your second act.

    This is your time.

    Now execute.

Your second act may be your most powerful one yet.
