With Tennessee State's failure to launch, the goalie ended up at Denver where he didn't play for half the season. Injury opened the door for him and he never looked back. A 16-0-1 run ended with a NCAA national championship, a Frozen Four MVP award and an invite to Edmonton Oilers camp.
