Hello Beautiful Listeners!!!

Wherever you are, I hope you are doing well.

On today's episode, I talk about the Wikipedia page in Nawat and share with you a soft spoken interview with my very first guest, Tamachtiani Hector Martinez, Director of the online Nawat school, Timumachtikan Nawat. I was nervous and hyper doing the interview - but his portion is slow and soft spoken.

I asked him about his favourite sounds and he shared some his favourite words in Nawat.

Here's a translation of what we say in Nawat:

Somni: Ken tinemi Tamachtiani? How are you, Teacher?
Tamachtiani: Naja ninemi yek, Valery wan taja? I am well, Valery and you?
Somni: Naja ninemi yek. I am well.

When asked him about his favourite Nawat words because of their sounds, he said it's the four elements and kittens:

At, tit, Ejekat, tal
Water, fire, wind, earth

and mijmistunchichin

Closing words:

Somni: Sujsul payush! Thank you very much!
Tamachtiani: Tesu datka. You're welcome

Somni: Niawa! Goodbye (initiating the farewell)
Tamachtiani: Shiawa! Goodbye (closing the farewell)

Hello everyone!!

I hope you are doing well.

I am happy to report that I am officially crossing off an item from my wish list, which was to bring you an episode from my hometown, San Salvador!

That's right! This episode was recorded in El Salvador during my February visit. To be more specific, it was recorded at "Centro Historico" (Historical Centre), in front of BINAES which is one my very favourite spots to visit.

Just a warning: It's not a relaxing episode at all! I was too hyper and the place was noiser than I expected it to be, even though I was there around 23H / 11PM, but the Ironman competition had finished that day, so there were extra visitors.

I hope you enjoy this anomaly of an episode!
