Before we had Instagram & youtube, riders learned about new tricks and who was killing it by either, reading the magazines, ordering the latest VHS tapes or actually driving to contests. Often you learned of guys through parking lot gossip before you ever saw them in action. Perry Mervar is one of those names as he came up alongside two other flatland legends – Bill Nitschke and Steve Mulder. Just as the sports industry was starting to die, riding really evolved into the modern sport or art form we know today.
