Episode 2 of our fantastic 2024 season features non other than ex-Olympian and life-long multi-species angler, Dean Macey. Essex boy Dean chats with Rob all things athletics, his triumphs and failures all at the very top of his multi-discipline event, the decathlon. From the early days of youth competition all the way to winning gold at the Commonwealth Games and his medals at both World Championship as well as his Olympic campaigns. Of course, the talk then turns to fishing where "The Dean Machine" really gets into his stride. We hear about Dean's early days fishing the Blackwater in Witham, Essex and then all over the world, both on personal missions and whilst making TV shows and commentating for the BBC.
