    • Are the Republicans aware and can post Trump America be fixed S5E9 01.23.2026
      Jan 23 2026

Today we have a question from Ronald from Topeka, Kansas: "I am a retired Army officer who served 20 years in military intelligence." I therefore fully understand the importance of our NATO alliance. I will also disclose that I did vote for Trump in 2024, and I deeply regret that vote.

Trump seems to be against Europe as a whole, and that means NATO by extension. Although Trump is clueless, what about all the hawks in the Republican Party? They must see that his moves are contrary to national security. They must also see that other NATO countries are beginning to move toward a post-American-centric alliance. Or do they? Republicans are reluctant to stand up to Trump, but they must understand that he’s out in 3 years and the post-Trump era, without NATO, not to mention the disastrous trade and tariff policies that are moving the rest of the world to make moves that isolate us, could be disastrous. Or do they? I know you don’t like to make predictions, but… If not stopped, what does the panel think the post-Trump-era world will look like for the United States in 2029? If Republicans allow him to continue down this road, even with a change in leadership, will this be fixable?

    • Trump's Solen Valor and a Letter to Norway S5E8
      Jan 21 2026

Today we hear from Kaylee from Newark, New Jersey writes: Well, Trump finally got his Nobel Peace Prize. Unearned, of course, and the Nobel Committee has clearly stated that, regardless of the actual winner, Machado, giving him the prize, he will not be credited with the win. I saw pictures of him taking the prize, and I must say I was so embarrassed. He looks pathetic, and the world must be laughing their assess off. I’m surprised he didn’t use his infamous Sharpie to write his name on it. As Dr. Scott has said, this peace prize is worth less than the paper it’s printed on. Although I have not heard any commentary from the right even addressing this “event”. Do you think they are as embarrassed as the sane people are? If the peace prize is a bargaining chip, should it be abolished altogether?

Kate from Norman, Oklahoma writes: I read a disturbing article in CCN that reported that Trump told the Prime Minister of Norway that since he didn’t win the peace prize, he is no longer bound to “consider peace”. He even suggested that not winning the peace prize was the reason why he is taking a hard line on Greenland. Now I know all of this is crazy talk from a mentally disturbed and incompetent person, yet, looking past the Greenland issue, does this statement about not being obligated to peace have further-reaching possibilities? Iran, Greenland, other places in the world?

    • The DOJ and Jerome Powell S5E7 01.19.2026
      Jan 19 2026

Do you have a question or comment? Want to suggest a topic for our panel or be a guest on the Nova Society? Send us a message!

Today, we have a question from Brett, who lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, writes: It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the weaponization of the Department of Justice against Trump's enemies. Next up, Jerome Powell of the FED. I saw he addressed this investigation in a recorded statement. To date, prosecutions against Comey, Letisha James, and others have been dismissed for lack of evidence. Seasoned prosecutors are resigning because they don’t want to put their law licenses on the line for malicious and frivolous prosecutions. A judge has invalidated warrants signed by Elena Habba, who has been adjudicated to have illegally assumed the role of U.S. Attorney. Now, Pam Bondi is in hot water, even though she is the biggest enabler in the Cabinet. This is a shit show. But my question is, can the US Department of Justice ever recover from all this turmoil? Can they ever be trusted again? What do you guys think it would take to fix this mess?
