  • Stop Trying to Feel Better
    Dec 29 2025

In this episode I talk about the dangers of constantly wanting to feel better.

Most people's pain comes from the fact that they are fighting the way they are feeling in a given moment. Because of how the human brain is wired we cannot escape the fact that we will experience negative emotions. The problem is, is that we have been conditioned not to experience negative emotions and then we try and move ourselves out of it which normally causes more negativity.

The author of 'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F%@k', Mark Manson said it perfectly when he said "The desire for a more positive experience is itself a negative experience and paradoxically, the acceptance of one's negative experience is itself a positive experience."

Instead of constantly trying to make ourselves and others feel better we should be teaching ourselves and others how to feel.

  • Can you manage time?
    Dec 22 2025

This episode was recorded while I was still in the Police and I attended a Time Management Course.

Here I share my beliefs on Time Management and how no strategy is going to stick unless you address perfectionism, people pleasing and the fear of other's opinions.

There are so many helpful strategies out there but you first have to learn to manage yourself.

Have a listen and see what you think.

  • There's a devil at every level!
    Dec 8 2025

In this episode I talk with my good friends and fellow Coaches, Aaron (Ron) Hill and Carl Radley.

A few years ago the quote "There's a devil at every level" was banded about between the three of us and it is the topic of discussion in this episode.

We're still not sure where the quote originated from but it certainly has relevance because as you take on new challenges the brain will create noise in an attempt to move you back into the familiar known. This is the devil!

Knowing how to befriend that devil and move past it is a skill which will have you exceeding what you ever thought was possible for yourself.

In this episode I have a fascinating conversation with Christal Dauncey who wears a few hats.

Christal is Professional Organiser, a Sober Free Coach trained in Positive Psychology and co-hosts the Sober Freedom Podcast.

We have a great conversation about Christal's journey with going alcohol free and how she now helps people who are int he same situation.

You may not want to give up alcohol and we are not saying that you should, but there are a lot of people out there who are drinking because their identity is wrapped up in it but they secretly want to stop because it is having negative effects in their life.

  • Weight loss Injections. Good or bad?
    Nov 24 2025

In this episode I talk to Jessica Snape around the current trend of weight loss injections. There is a rising popularity with these quick fix weight loss jabs which includes Mounjaro and Ozempic to name a couple.

We are not experts on these injections or medical practitioners and our conversation is based on our own personal experiences and opinions.

I do however find it amazing the amount of money people will spend on these injections and I think they are an example of how we are so keen for a quick fix rather than getting to the route of the problem.

I know people may take these injections for medical reasons but I know many people that take them as a quick weight loss option because they find they cannot resist the junk food that is so readily available to us. I've even witnessed people who are on the weight loss jabs who still eat the junk food anyway.

I just see that there are other ways to approach this and ones that may have longer lasting effects without the reliance on an injection. I don't say that you take them but I think it's wise to explore them to see what other options are out there.

I have stopped drinking alcohol now for 7 years and have had nearly a year of no refined sugar by simply working on my belief systems and reducing my desire. There is a certain amount of discomfort with this process but also so much reward and permanence. It helps build self trust and confidence as you learn to lean into discomfort and not away from it.

The injections in my opinion seem to bypass this discomfort but what happens when you stop taking them? Is it sustainable and healthy to keep taking the injections?

Maybe it is and if you think so then there is no need to listen to this and you can carry on as you are.

Jess offers some alternative approaches that may well mean you ultimately lead a healthier lifestye.

Jess is a Fitness Behaviour Coach with 15 years experience in personal training and is an all round amazing person so I recommend that you have a listen and see what she has to say.

    Check out Jess' website.

  • Overcoming the fear of failure!
    Oct 27 2025

In this episdoe I talk about how changing your relationship will fundamentally change your life.
This is a call from my private coaching group 'Stress to Success' but this week no one turned up for coaching so it was just me teaching on overcoming the fear of failure and therefore I thought I would share it with you.
We fear failure because of what we make that failure mean, which is often that we are not good enough.
All failure means is that we haven't met the required or expected result. That's it! Everything else is story.
We need to change our relationship with failure because in life we will make mistakes but it's how we come back from those mistakes that's really important.
If you are someone who fears failure and deep down know that it is holding you back then please book a FREE call using the link below.
