In conversation with Fabienne, a 30 year old Austrian tour guide based in Rome, Helena discusses the importance of friendship and whether platonic relationships really exist between men and women. Fabienne dated her best friend and that was probably her best decision ever. We discuss the shift in dynamics from platonic to romantic, the guts it takes to date your best friend and the benefits of dating someone who already knows your quirks and flaws, and the potential pitfalls of losing a best friend if the relationship doesn't work out.
