  • The Recipe for Glowing Skin: Why Gut Health Comes First with Jacqui Meehan
    Dec 23 2025

What’s up ladies, welcome to class! In this episode of The Health Class She Deserves, we’re diving into the science behind skin health, gut health, and hormone health, and how they’re all deeply connected, especially when it comes to the gut–skin connection.

In a world where everyone is trying to sell us the next skincare “miracle” (at the low low price of $100 an ounce, of course), it’s important to recognize when acne, blemishes, rashes, and chronic skin issues are actually an inside problem. Because more often than not, they are. Glowing skin starts in the gut, and on this women’s health podcast, we have to talk about what’s happening beneath the surface.

This week, we’re joined by Jacqui Meehan to unpack the ins and outs of gut health for skin, including what hormonal acne really is, how inflammation impacts skin health, and why topical skincare alone often isn’t enough. If you’ve ever wondered how to support clearer, healthier skin from the inside out, this episode is for you.

  • Her Story: From PCOS to Tumor: 20 Years of Medical Gaslighting with Jenna Bostick
    Dec 9 2025

What's up ladies, welcome to class! This week we have another episode of Her Story, where I sit down with women like you to share your stories of pain, chronic illness, medical gaslighting, mental health, and more.

In this intimate and honest interview, we're speaking with Jenna Bostick. Jenna was misdiagnosed multiple times with PCOS before finally (20 years later) getting diagnosed with a rare tumor. After decades of dealing with fluctuating weight, migraines, greying hair, high blood pressure, and countless other symptoms, she ended up in the hospital for two months.

In our conversation, it became clear to me that one of the most painful parts of her story is the "what ifs": What if doctors had listened to her when she was 18? What if they had run more tests? What if they had investigated further? What if women's health was taken seriously? What if we taught women to take up space and advocate for themselves?

She opens up candidly about medical gaslighting, fertility, weight struggles, emotional growth, and learning to take charge of her healthcare.

Jenna wants all women to take this from her story: Trust your gut. Push back against your doctors when you feel something is wrong. You can be kind while also standing up for yourself, and in doing so you may save your life. You know your body best, trust that.

  • Hashimoto's & the Truth About Thyroids, Women, & Big Pharma with Esther Yunkin
    Dec 2 2025

What's up ladies, welcome to class! This week we're diving into Hashimoto's with Esther Yunkin.

I'm really excited about this episode because we haven't talked much about Hashimoto's yet. Quite honestly, before this interview, all I could have told you is that it has something to do with the thyroid. As Esther explains in the episode, the thyroid is *complicated* and many people feel confused by it.

Thankfully, we have Esther here to clear up the confusion! We talk about thyroid function and health, hypothyroidism, when it's considered Hashimoto's, getting a diagnosis, getting proper hormone testing, treatment options, and the pharmaceutical corruption surrounding said treatment options. Basically, we cover a lot of ground!

This is a great listen if you...

    -suspect hypothyroidism

-are lethargic, experience significant hair loss, are constipated, or present with other Hashimoto's symptoms

    -have depression

-want to understand more about Hashimoto's, what to look out for, and how to speak with a provider about proper testing and care

-have yet to experience puberty, pregnancy, or perimenopause (the 3 P's when Hashimoto's tends to develop)
