Alicia is a woman of faith, resilience, and unwavering hope whose life journey has been shaped by purpose, perseverance, and the belief that victory is possible even in the darkest moments.

Her path took an unexpected turn during a mission trip to Thailand, where she was serving and working alongside organizations fighting human trafficking. It was a trip she had not wanted to take, yet while there, she experienced what she describes as a powerful moment with God — a quiet but undeniable message placed on her heart that He had a plan for her life and that she was called to continue a legacy. At the time, she did not fully understand what that meant.

Shortly after returning home, Alicia received a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The news came during a season when she was already rebuilding her life after years of overcoming abusive and abandoning relationships. Yet even in the face of fear, uncertainty, and a failed attempt at chemotherapy, Alicia refused to surrender her hope.

Determined to find answers, she began researching across the country and internationally for integrative approaches to support her healing. During that time, a friend and functional regenerative health doctor remembered Alicia after meeting the inventor of a light-based wellness patch technology and called her with the words:
"Alicia, we have something we think you ought to try."

She decided to try it.

Just 43 days later, Alicia received the best CT scan she had ever had — showing a noticeable reduction of disease. That moment marked the beginning of a remarkable shift in her journey.

That was five years ago.

Instead of declining as she had been warned might happen, Alicia’s health continued to improve year after year. She credits her journey to a combination of faith, prayer, positivity, and the wellness tools she discovered along the way.

After six months of using the patch, Alicia realized something profound had changed.

She looked different.
She felt different.
She was different — on the inside and out.

Inspired by her own experience, she began working part-time with the company, sharing what she was learning with others who were searching for hope.

Two years later, Alicia made a life-changing decision. She stepped away from her jobs — working full-time at a bankruptcy law firm and part-time at a bridal store — to pursue her mission fully.

Today, she serves as a LifeWave executive, traveling across the country and sharing the science, the hope, and the possibilities of this light-based patch technology with others who are looking for answers.

But beyond the work she does, Alicia’s greatest blessings are found in her family.

She is the proud mother of two incredible adult daughters and the joyful grandmother of two precious granddaughters, now three and one years old — gifts she once feared she might never live long enough to see.

In 2024, Alicia experienced another beautiful chapter of redemption when she married her incredible, loving, and patient husband — a testament to the healing that can happen in every area of life.

Today, Alicia shares her story to remind others that no matter what diagnosis, heartbreak, or obstacle they face, hope is still possible.

Her life message is simple, yet powerful:

Camille Smart is the Family Program Coordinator for Cool Kids Clubhouse, where she supports families navigating a pediatric cancer diagnosis. She coordinates compassionate, family-centered programs designed to support the academic, social and emotional needs brought on by a cancer diagnosis, as well as creates spaces for families to build a sense of community amongst one another. Camille is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment where children and their families feel understood, supported, and empowered.
