Brian is one of the most sought after percussionists in Miami, and has created a super unique niche for himself as an artist in town and abroad. We discuss his journey from classical percussion, to his passion for Brazilian music, marching at Carnival, and his founding of Miami Bloco.

Episode 13 features drummer, and UM alum, Miguel Merino. Miguel talks about his journey to Egypt, developing his playing on the Lyre, and starting his band Otaak. He has become fully immersed in the Egyptian musical language, as well as speaking the language fluently. We get into his time at UM, being in Egypt during the protests, and his plans for the future!
