Senior A glory for Kanturk and Erin's Own in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh as the Echo Sport Podcast crew review another bumper weekend of Cork GAA.

Kanturk move up to the top tier in both codes, joining St Finbarr's and Newcestown in an elite group, with captain Paul Walsh grabbing the killer goal against Éire Óg.

Erin's Own had an early Maurice O'Carroll goal and Matty O'Riordan clipped a terrific 0-5 from play but their defensive solidity was key at keeping Carrigtwohill at bay.

Kilmurry ruthlessly powered past Buttevant to the Intermediate A crown with Liam Wall and Ruadhrán Ó Curraoín hitting the net and Cork U20s Seán O’Leary and Denis O'Mullane impressing. Defensively and at midfield, they were immense and limited the North Cork side to 0-7 from play. It was their third adult county in five seasons, to go with U21 and Munster silverware.

Uibh Laoire were as clinical against a battling Kiskeam outfit that nailed some brilliant two-pointers but couldn't halt the goal threat of Ian and Chris Óg Jones. After an agonising loss 12 months ago, John McNulty's charges landed the big prize in the PIFC.

It was the same for Bandon against Aghada in the Intermediate A Hurling final. Darren Crowley, who shone in the 2011 final, rolled back the years but Joe Burke's side had nine scorers from play. Still, two late goals, including a green flag for 46-year-old Pearse O'Neill, nearly completed a sensational Aghada comeback.

In the Munster arena, Kilshannig were far too slick against Waterford's St Declan's and look well poised to challenge for a junior title, but Glen Rovers and Ballincollig both bowed out at the quarter-final stage. Glen never hit top gear against the Clare champions while Collig rallied in Tipperary but it was too late.

A Bank Holiday weekend that Nemo Rangers, Canovee and Kilshannig will never forget as the Echo Sport Podcast crew review the latest Cork GAA news and matches.

Nemo collected the Andy Scannell Cup for the 24th time since their breakthrough in the 1970s, a model of consistency but this was one of their sweetest ever, having been beaten in the last three finals.

For St Finbarr's it was a crushing loss given they were defeated in the hurling a week before but they couldn't argue with the result. Alan O'Donovan and Briain Murphy matched Brian Hayes and Ian Maguire while Kieran Histon hounded Steven Sherlock. Mark and Stephen Cronin, Ross Corkery and Mark Hill were also to the fore.

Canovee are Premier Junior champions after grinding out a win over Cobh with their defence in ferocious form.

On the hurling front, Kilshanning took that crown with a storming second half to overhaul St Catherine's, who fell to a crushing third loss in the county final.

It's a blend of hurling and football next weekend, with an incredible five finals across three days, starting with the Intermediate A football final on Friday night pairing Buttevant and Kilmurry.

On Saturday, Aghada against Bandon in the IAHC final is followed by Kiskeam taking on Uibh Laoire in the PIFC decider.

There's another double-header on Sunday, Kanturk-Éire Óg in Senior A football, and then Erin's Own versus Carrigtwohill in a Senior A East Cork derby.

There's also Munster club hurling action, with Kilshannig, Glen Rovers and Ballincollig all involved in provincial quarter-finals.

The Echo Sport Podcast crew breaks down the Premier Senior and Premier Intermediate Hurling finals on this week's show, as well as previewing a busy Bank Holiday weekend as the Cork GAA season hits its thrilling conclusion.

The big prizes on Sunday afternoon went to Glen Rovers and Ballincollig. Neither game fully caught fire but the Glen won't care after edging the first county final against the Barrs in 38 years thanks to a pair of Eoin O'Leary goals and a steady showing overall.

O'Leary's haul of 2-2 took him to 5-13 for the season and surely on the radar of the Cork selectors. The Glen were just that bit better balanced than the Barrs, who did have a late shout for a penalty to force a draw, and it was a sweet victory after being relegated in 2023.

It also atoned for county final losses in 2018, '19 and '20. Barrs were 0-12 to 0-10 up at the break having finished the first half well but O'Leary's opening goal turned the tide. Patrick Horgan finished with 0-3 from play but so too did midfielder Rhys Dunne.

Ethan Twomey clipped a staggering 0-5 from play in the second half for the Barrs but it wasn't enough.

Ballincollig were a point down at half-time against Dungourney after a slow start but took control in the second half to make up for losing the PIHC final 12 months ago to Ballinhassig.

Adam Wills rifled the goal, his brother Stephen Willis picked up Man of the Match for his clinical shooting from play while Theo Morgan and Cian O'Driscoll nailed 0-3 apiece. In defence, James Dwyer, Ross O'Donovan, Barry Coleman and Fenton Denny were also immense.

It's a blend of hurling and football next weekend, with the Premier Junior Hurling final on Friday night pairing St Catherine's and Kilshannig.

On Sunday afternoon, there's a football double-header, Cobh versus Canovee at Premier Junior, followed by champions St Finbarr's against great rivals Nemo Rangers in a repeat of last year's Premier Senior decider.
