Lindsey Lodge Hospice has welcomed Anne Currie as its new Chief Executive, succeeding Karen Griffiths after her nine years of dedicated service. Anne brings extensive experience from the hospice sector, having previously served as Head of Operations for Marie Curie North West and Chief Executive of Forest Holme Hospice.

We sit down with our Clinical Director, Operational Matron and Advanced Care Practitioner Occupational Therapist to talk about our new look Outpatient Programme.

Early palliative care improves the quality of life, survival, clinical outcomes, mood and healthcare satisfaction in patients. Our historic offer of a daycare, well-being service to patients with a

predominately-social-focused model required a Quality Improvement program as the hospice evolved, patients’ complexity increased. The results of the quality improvement are currently ongoing but early indications see an improvement in individualising patient care with goals setting and personalised to the patients being set showing improvements to the patient's quality of life. Quantitative and qualitative outcome measures were collected.
