חדשים אלו הוא הזמן שבו מתקיימים כל מיני כנסים בענינים שונים ומקבלים החלטות וכו'. אבל לצערנו הגדול, כפי שהי' גם בעבר, הנה גם בעבור שנה מאז כנס פלוני וקבלת החלטות וכו', עדיין לא ניכר שום שינוי בנוגע למעשה בפועל, ש"הוא העיקר"! ולכן הי' כדאי שבכנס הבא, הנה לפני קבלת החלטות חדשות יערכו חשבון צדק כמה ניתוסף במעשה בפועל במשך השנה מאז קבלת החלטות (דומות) בכנס האחרון, ואם יתברר שחסר בזה – יש למצוא את הסיבה לזה ולמלא את החסרון (נוסף על מה שצריך להוסיף בזה מצד כנס החדש). ויהי רצון שיקויים מ"ש "קבל את האמת ממי שאמרו", שהרי אי"ז החידוש שלי – זה כבר כתוב בספרים של הדורות שלפנ"ז עד למשנה וכו' ש"המעשה הוא העיקר"! וכדאי כל היגיעה וההשתדלות לתקן הדבר שמכאן ולהבא ידאגו שההחלטות אכן יבואו לידי מעשה בפועל – כיון שזה נוגע לרבים ו(במילא) לכלל ישראל! These are the months of the year when various conferences and conventions are held and when resolutions are adopted, etc. But to our great sorrow, as in the past, although a year has passed since a certain meeting was held and resolutions were adopted, etc. don’t yet see any change in practice, which is the main thing. Therefore, it would be worthwhile that at the next conference, before adopting new resolutions, an honest accounting should first be made as to how much has actually been added in practice since the (similar) resolutions were adopted at the previous conference. And if it becomes clear that something is lacking, the reason should by identified and it should be corrected (in addition to what must be added during the new conference). May it be Hashem’s will that people will “Accept the truth from whoever says it,” because this is not my own invention; it is already known from sefarim of previous generations, going back to the Mishnah, etc. which states that “Action is the main thing.” All the toil and effort are worthwhile in order to correct things so that from now on the resolutions will be put into practice, because it concerns the public, and therefore it concerns the entire Jewish people. הרמב"ם, בשיעור היומי (תרומות רפ"ה), כותב: "אין תורמין אלא מן היפה שנאמר בהרימכם את חלבו ממנו". וזה קשור עם הענין דאהבת ישראל שהרי נתינת תרומה לכהן היא כדי לספק לכהן את כל המצטרך לו ויש לתת לו "מן היפה" דוקא (וענין זה מהווה גם לימוד כללי לכללות המצוות (שהרי כל עניני התומ"צ כלולים זב"ז) כמ"ש הרמב"ם ש"כל דבר שהוא לשם הא-ל הטוב שיהי' מן הנאה והטוב וכו'"). ועד"ז מודגש הענין דאחדות ישראל בזה שיכול להרים תרומה גם ע"י יהודי אחר שנעשה שלוחו ו"שלוחו של אדם כמותו"! ולימוד נוסף מהמשך ההלכה "ואם אין שם כהן תורם מן המתקיים אע"פ שיש שם יפה שאינו מתקיים וכו'": פעולה חד-פעמית בעניני תומ"צ ע"י יהודי יש לה קיום נצחי - "דבר המתקיים"! ועוד.

Today’s Rambam states (Hilchos Terumos, beginning of chapter 5): “We separate terumah only from the finest, as it is stated: ‘When you separate its choicest portion from it.’” This requirement embodies Ahavas Yisroel, because the purpose of terumah is to provide the kohen with his needs, and it must be given specifically from the finest. This also serves as a general lesson for all mitzvos (all matters of Torah and mitzvos are interconnected), as the Rambam writes: “…everything given for the sake of G-d who is good should be of the most attractive and the highest quality.” Similarly, this requirement emphasizes Jewish unity, in that one may separate terumah even through another Jew serving as his agent, because “A person’s agent is considered like himself.” There is another lesson from the next part of the halacha, which states, “If there is no Kohen there, one should separate from produce that will last, even though there is finer produce that will not last…”: A one-time act of Torah and mitzvos performed by a Jew is something that “will last” forever.

מזמור ק"ט בתהלים הוא מזמור קשה, "אַ שטריינגער". ובמילא ה"ז חל על הענינים שיכולים לנגוע ח"ו בהפצת עניניו של בעל יום ההולדת והגאולה. אמנם בודאי שיש במזמור זה גם עניני טובה וברכה. בפסוק ל' נאמר "אודה ה' בפי ובתוך רבים אהללנו": "אודה ה'" – הודאה וברכה לה' מכיון שנותן לכאו"א מישראל טוב הנראה והנגלה בגו"ר, ובאופן של "מאוד". "בפי" – ההודאה באה לידי ביטוי בדיבור, בפה, שמנצל כח הדיבור להודות לה'. "ובתוך רבים אהללנו" – ההודאה היא במעמד רבים מישראל, ובאופן של "בתוך" וביחד עם הרבים. ומצד מעלת הרבים, ובפרט כשנמצאים בביהכנ"ס וביהמ"ד, מיתוסף בהילול לה'. ועוד ענין בזה – ההילול נמשך וחודר בעניני העולם שנק' "רשות הרבים" וכו'. ויה"ר שבקרוב ממש תבוא הגאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו, וכולנו יחד נכנס לארצנו הק' ואז יתקיים ה"אודה לה' מאוד בפי ובתוך רבים אהללנו".

Although chapter 109 of Tehillim is a harsh one (applying to anything that could chas v’shalom detract from spreading the teachings of the baal hageulah), it also contains blessing and goodness. As it says in verse 30: “I will give abundant thanks to Hashem with my mouth, and in the midst of the multitudes I will praise Him.” “I will give thanks to Hashem” – for giving every Jew visible and revealed good, materially and spiritually, and “abundantly.” “With my mouth” – the thanksgiving is expressed in verbally, utilizing the power of speech to thank Hashem. “And in the midst of the multitudes I will praise Him” – the thanksgiving takes place in the presence of many Jews, “in the midst of” and together with the multitudes; Hashem’s praise is magnified with the power of the community, especially when they gather in a shul and beis midrash etc. Moreover, the praise permeates the world, which is called the “public domain,” etc. May it be Hashem’s will that we merit very soon the true and complete Redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu, when we will all go to our Holy Land, and there the verse will be fulfilled: “I will give abundant thanks Hashem with my mouth, and in the midst of the multitudes I will praise Him.”
