Across fairy folklore, UFO encounters, Bigfoot reports and unexplained disappearances, the same strange pattern keeps appearing: people are diverted from familiar paths, trapped in places they should be able to leave, experience missing time, or find that the world around them suddenly doesn't look the way it should. Travelers become trapped in places they should easily be able to leave. Witnesses describe invisible barriers. Drivers inexplicably turn onto roads they never intended to take. People experience missing time. Others claim they could see searchers looking for them — while the searchers seemingly couldn't see them. And similar stories appear again and again in accounts involving fairies, UFOs, Bigfoot, ghosts, cryptids and other unexplained phenomena. Josh explores the old folklore of being "pixie-led" — stories in which people were deliberately confused or led away from familiar paths — and compares them with modern paranormal encounters.
